Can you elaborate on my earlier questions re. working with MC2? Are these stones they've selected or did they agree to work with your stones? And, if you are comfortable sharing, what setting are you thinking of, and have you confirmed the pricepoint?

They are fabulous to work with - really top notch. They are proprietary stones, unique to them that are genuine OE's that have been re-cut to their particular specifications as far as I understand it. Pricepoint is more or less what I have posted in my OP and that works out to roughly about a third for the setting and 2/3 for the stone.

I see, that's very interesting. Please do post photos of the completed ring, an MC2 will be a rare treat on here - their work is exquisite!

I say this as a first-generation immigrant married to a non-native speaker: because that is not the default assumption?

Back to the point though, I did not know MC2 did that, and I'm intrigued by the concept. I would love to see ASETs for the stones they've treated thusly ....

I met with Walter once. One really nice emerald cut, but I found everything to be very pricey and I wanted to bring my own stone to the table. Their things with a sense of humor are a hoot.
