Ring Guard Recommendations for Eternity Band

I'm looking for ring guards that would complement my eternity band. It's a 4 carat band by A Link and Co.:

I'm wondering what ring style would work with this band, which has a very open, shared prong setting. Based on my research so far, it seems that thin (1.5-2 mm?) guards would lay beneath my ring and might work. My concern is that guards could rub against and damage the band. I don't want to add spacers, because I think that would be too many rings to wear at once. I saw some thin pave bands that looked pretty, and this seems like a possibility. I also checked out the following BGD rings which might do the trick, but it's so hard to choose when you can't see them in person:

Does anyone have suggestions and/or an opinion about this? What style or specific guards would work? (the alternative is to leave well enough alone and pick another project; I absolutely love the ring, but thought that guards might be a good idea to mark a big wedding anniversary).

I'm not sure that the pave bands will work. There will be quite a height difference between your eternity and the delicate pave bands and it's possible that the eternity will slip up over or under them because they sit so low to the finger. Can you shop around and try some bands on with another large eternity and get a better sense of what visually appeals to you? I absolutely love the band!!!


Edit: Could the company making your eternity also make a matching (much) smaller version to wear on either side?

I have an eternity and sometimes wear my original wedding band with it. Keep in mind, anytime you wear two rings next to each other there is going to be some amount of rubbing. What you don't want is the diamonds rubbing. Choosing to wear two 'exposed' diamond bands together, one of the rings will suffer--in this case--the pave band--because the sides of the diamonds are hitting the metal on your eternity. Your best option is to choose a channel set/bezel set band (like the one mentioned above). To protect your eternity--measure the height to the lowest point of exposed diamond--and choose a band that sits lower than that.

Hi Molls, I was looking up A. Links on this website and found that you had one. I just discovered them at a BM near my house in Northern CA and I am stunned at how their setting makes the stones sparkle sooooo much!! I really like it and was wondering how you like yours and if you can post some hand shots?? They showed me how they can put a u prong five stone ring right next to an engagement ring setting and the diamonds do NOT rub!! How amazing is that?? I Loved a setting with the center stone and four urging set side stones, two on each side. It just made the center stone really stand out and sparkle like crazy, especially with the space under the u prong!!
