Ring on Index Finger?

Does anyone wear a ring on their right index finger?

I`m thinking of resizing my 5 stone anniversary ring so that I can wear it on my right index finger instead of right ring finger (I find it quite uncomfortable there). My DH said it will look ''aggressive''. Any opinions?

I wanted to size this ring down so that I can stack it with my wedding set instead but it can''t be sized any smaller. Now it''s sitting in the jewellery box, poor sparkly thing not getting out much.

I wear rings on my index finger. I think it''s fine and you might as well wear your nice ring.

I used to wear a ring on my index finger, until I sat it down in a public restroom to wash my hands and forgot to put it back on

I would wear it.. I don''t think it will look ''aggressive'' (How cute is your DH!)

i do not think it looks aggressive but i don''t personally care for the look. it is a matter of personal taste and if it appeals to you go for it.

I have a ring on my right index finger right now. I also have a setting (that I intend to put a colored stone in) that is too large for my ring finger, shouldn''t be resized, and fits perfect on my index finger. So I have plans for future index rings as well. Why not? Go for it.

I think it depends on how big the stones are. I think cocktail rings on the index finger look good, but a big ring all the time looks a bit off to me.

I don''t wear my 5 stone (1.5 ttl ct) on my right index, but I do wear it on my right middle finger. My ring just didn''t feel comfortable on my right ring finger. So if it is more comfortable on your index finger, go with it.

Sure, wear a ring on any finger that you like.Its common for both men and women to wear a ring on the Index finger.Whats nice about this size is that you can change the ring to 3 other fingers or your thumb.

My aunt, grandmother, and mom all wear rings on their index fingers, I''ve never thought it looked odd.

What the heck does your DH mean by "aggressive"??!! I''ve never been intimidated by someone because they''re wearing a classic-style ring on their index finger! If you like it, wear it!

Jewelerman - Good point! Once resized, it`ll be a versatile size for 2 other fingers!

Charbie - It''s a pretty dainty ring - 5x 10pointers of HOF - so I don''t think it`ll look too much out of place.

I wear an alexandrite on my right middle finger. I guess I did that for balance or something, but I don''t see any problem wearing it on your index finger.

You should tell your DH how "aggressive" we all are.

Ditto...I only like rings on ring fingers and middle fingers. But that''s just me!

right hand: ring on each of the three middle fingers....which of course includes the index finger.
left hand: e-ring on traditional finger and ring on index finger.

so, yes, i wear one on both index fingers.
