Ring redesign - ideas needed

Please help me!!!!

My parents celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary in September this year and my mum wants to redesign her ring (again)

She had it redesigned for their 30th anniversary but has never been happy with the outcome.

She wants something that really ''pops'', but doesnt really know what she wants

She would like to use all of the current stones and is happy to add additional stones ie no expense spared

Can you please post some photos and any ideas

The larger photo goes all fuzzy

The marquis is 0.50ct
There are 6 brilliant cut rubies of about 0.10ct each
4 brilliant cut diamonds of about 0.20 ct each and
20 brilliant cut diamonds of about 0.10ct each


Any ideas or photos of pave type set rings would be enormously appreciated

Ill have to see if i can find some photos

Her original e- ring was a traditional halo type setting with the Marquis and some of the diamonds
Her original eternity ring then was a channel set ruby and diamond band

For their 20th wedding anniversary Mum had the stones from both rings reset into a pretty geometrical out there type design (it was a knuckle duster)- Mum has always liked jewellery that was a bit different in design - thats one of the reasons that she doesnt really like the current design - she thinks its a bit to ordinary

Well the center ruby can still stay the center ruby but turned the other way. Maybe there could be a halo with the small stones and side stones with the other stones, or just get very decorative with the side stones.

You could also do some sort of asymmetrical 40s style fan type of design.

hmm.... well *I* would probably find another marq ruby and get a big old diamond for the middle LOL However, if I wanted the original ruby marq to be center I would probably turn it the other way and put all of the rubies around it in another halo and then all of the diamonds around that with the overall ring shape still taking the shape of a marquise - just all the red in the middle and all the diamonds around the edges Or I would add small marq and pear and round and oval diamonds and create a geometric design using those , maybe even a somewhat random design with the marq ruby just kinda being in the mix like a puzzle with one red piece. Then surround all of that around the box and shank with the melee.

That''s what i would do, she loves unusual eh? the rest of rubies and 0.1 diamonds will go to eternity ring.

I like it too.Maybe an idea for me on how to set my diamond also.. I like unusual also
