Ring size question - Do Tiffany rings run small?

I'm full of questions these days and you all have been so helpful.

The ring sizing thing has to be the most stressful part of purchasing a ring online.

I ordered a BlueNile ring a few months back in a size 9 and it was just a titch too small. So I figured I'd have to go up to a 9.25, but I ended up returning the ring.

I had my finger sized at Jared's and it was also about a 9.25.

However, holding my current ring that fits well against the Tiffany ring sizer that the vendor told me to use, I'm measuring closer to a 10. I of course want to try not to have to send my new ring back for resizing. My current ring, the sizer at Jared and the BlueNile ring all have similar band sizes.

I'm truly terrified of getting the wrong size. Suggestions?

Michelle

I think they do run a bit small. I tried on an eternity band at the Tiffany store and had to go up half a size. However, if the vendor recommended a Tiffany sizer I would go with their recommendation since that's probably be the sizing standard they go by.

Did you ask them about the discrepancy?

I got sized at Tiffany's and I was a 4.5 there but I'm a 4 everywhere else. You should get the size they tell you on their ring sizer. Any chance you can go into a store and try out rings there or get measured by someone there?

If not, I think Tiffany's has a reasonable exchange/return policy so you should be able to get another size if the first one you gets ends up not working out.

Hi,
I have several Tiffany rings and have never experienced size variation/fit problems except when the band is very wide.
My spouse has purchased several rings, T&Co and custom, and just goes with my usual size 7 with no issues.
I would definitely discuss w/ your jeweler/ ring maker to be sure.

That hasn't been my experience there. Big, if anything. But I think a lot of it has to do with the style and width of the ring there, but every ring I have tried on there in my size has been true to size. I had to go up to a 6 across the board with my rings not long ago bec my knuckles are getting bigger in my "old age" than they used to be (which kills me) and means that the rings spin and flop more on my finger than they used to.
