Hi everyone! I'm in the process of looking for an engagement ring and have been reading the great forums and tutorials here. Can't believe how helpful this has been!
I found a great looking diamond today, but was hoping that someone here might have insight into the dealer. The diamond is a round 1.75 ct, H, VS1, EX symmetry and polish (GIA report before Cut grade was given) for about $15K.
Can anyone provide any feedback or insights into this dealer on W47th in NY? The name of the store was Elize, but they also go by Roman Malakov and were formerly called Diva Diamonds (subject line had a typo - should be Diva). They claim to be a family-run business that does their own cutting, etc.
Also, they mentioned something about the quality of the materials being better, coming from Northern Siberia, compared with Canada or South Africa. Is there anything to this, or is that just a sales pitch?
