Rose Gold, K color 1.02ct

It's here! As some of you may have seen over in Rocky Talky, I lost my original engagement ring and had been on the search for a replacement. I finally made my decisions about the stone and the metal and the setting, and it is perfectly me. I absolutely love it.

EGL K (so... M? N?), 1.02 oval, SI1, 18k rose gold Gelin Abaci TR-232, on a size 4.5 finger.

I'm not a whiz with pictures, and all I have is my phone camera, but here was the best I could do:

Thanks I couldn't be happier, and I finally feel normal again with the ring on my finger!

For reference, here was the stone outside of the setting -- this thing is a serious chameleon, although I don't see nearly as much change in the setting. The color I see most often is a soft white, with the occasional bit of strong vanilla. It looks so natural alongside the rose gold

Love love love it! It is beautiful and unique - well done Tension settings are a fave of mine, and I have scoured the internet looking for pics of that swirl type of ring on the hand and couldn't find any. And here they are! and in my favourite color too.

kalomeli, that's exactly what I was going for! I was really influenced by Haven's ring, the softer color palette and the delicacy of it. That's what really made me trust that the "yellow" diamond and the rose gold would work. But I've always loved that setting -- my original ring was the same setting, and while I thought long and hard about getting a different one, in the end I just couldn't do it. It's too perfect

But yes, modern and soft, feminine and elegant... it's everything I aspire to be, haha!

Enerchi, that's what I can't get over -- how white it looks! I mean, it'll never be blinding ice white, but that's not what I prefer anyway (I had an ivory wedding dress with champagne details, I almost always pick cream or ecrue over white, etc). But I've seen this diamond loose in a variety of different lights, and there were some where it was NOTICEABLY yellow. A pretty shade of yellow, but yellow nonetheless. The setting has done exactly what I hoped it would -- it reflects peach through the stone, and the tension mount lets a ton of light in. The contrast between the stone and the metal, and the amount of sparkle created by the extra light and the cut of the stone makes it really pop. You should see this thing in full sunlight!

Really pretty! I usually think of rose gold as being antique but this setting gives it a really modern, unique twist!
