Royal Blue Sapphire E-ring Advice

Agree with Chrono.

Is this what you are looking for in terms of size and color?
You could contact Jeff Davies. He is a reputable dealer and well respected by Pricescopers. You would then need a custom setting made by a jeweller.

That JD sapphire has been snapped up, and I hope it has gone to a good home, and I love the colour!

P.S. DOH, just realised the OP is the lucky owner, congratulations! :appl:

Any news OP?

Update: CAD has been completed, as seen below. I'm taking the weekend to make careful consideration of any alteration. If any experts here would like to impart any wisdom for improvement, I'm all ears.

How thick is the shank?
Do you have a profile view of the ring? The one that you have is tilted so I am unable to see the details of the gallery.
Can you please post larger pictures? Details counts for everything in CADs and I cannot see those important details.

Shank Depth 1.5mm
Shank width 3mm

I agree that the gallery is crucial, and I will request better pictures now.

It's the best I can do ATM, will provide better angles when they come to hand.

Make sure the millgrain is added after casting, by hand, not during casting, also I'd probably remove the blue side detail and just add a tilt to the halo

Here are some better pictures of the gallery:

Looks like you changed the gallery

These are the first photos I've seen of the gallery in detail.

Oh, still thoigh he had before petals as you can see in the previous set and the newest set he added that Fleur de Les type profile. I like both

I still think am unsure the ring needs those little sapphires in the profile

I'd remove the sapphire in the halo, put the halo at an angle down , and put a sapphire in the diamond shape of the profile

It is stunning - agree with all the other comments. Do you have it in hand yet? When will you give it to your intended?

I've been away for work for a while, but I'm happy to report that I proposed during the Easter long weekend, on the banks of the Snowy River, on the shoulder of Australia's highest mountain. She said YES!

I had the ring in hand from mid March.
