here is king tut''s famous gold mask. amazing detail. the stones are of course lapis lazuli, carnelian and turquoise. this mask was on the mummy of king tut inside his many coffins when he was uncovered by howard carter in 1922.

this is the ''ma''at'' wall. this goddess was believed to maintain the balance of all things, she kept life running smoothly!

Iknow it's off topic but except of jewels i love horses too. I couldn't resist. I'm posting my favourite akhal-teke from my PC and some others from the net.
i think it''s great that the akhal teke is getting some ''air time''! a truely royal breed of horse!
and i love those pics as well..i have them all..i just always gravitate towards the unusual gold metallic horses of that breed..if i ever come across one and have the funds, i would have to have it in my barn!
