Samuel Kleinberg?

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking this forum for a few weeks. I'm just starting my search for a diamond in the GTA and one place that was recommended to me was Samuel Kleinberg Jewellery - http://samuelkleinberg.com.They are a local vendor that doesn't carry any diamonds in stock but deals mainly in AGS or GIA diamonds. I forgot to ask if they were able to get ASET or idealscope images when I went to their office.

I was wondering if any Pricescope members had any experience dealing with them?

When I compared them with USACert (who is based in Thornhill) I found that their prices were comparable; and better than a few other Canadian options like diamondexchange.ca or http://www.billleboeufjewellers.com,, which were recommended by some other Canadians in the past.

Are there any other local vendor recommendations in Toronto?

I recommend http://www.engagediamonds.com.. One of the few in the GTA that carries AGS000 and cares about cut. They have open displays of rings that you can try on without sales people bothering you.

I haven't tried http://www.edwardsanddavies.com myself but I have heard really good things.

With all this said, just head over to NYC or buy online. It will save you a lot of headaches. I have looked high and low in Toronto .. I haven't found setting workmanship matching what I see in the US (and especially NYC). I also haven't found prices the same but that is largely because I haven't been able to find comparable quality.
