So, I know blue sapphires are very popular (especially lately), and I've owned several commercial grade sapphires over the years, but honestly I've never really understood why everyone loved them SO much. I get it now though, lol.

I just got this pair from Yvonne Raley, and they are so beautiful. They're from the same batch/vendor that PSer "distracts" posted about recently (with her wedding jewelry), but mine are set in rose gold bezels with milgrain and French wire, rather than studs. I thought it was very cool to see hers, and now I'm posting mine just for fun (and bc I'm in LOVE with them!). I thought it was neat to see how different people enjoy basically the same gems, but set completely differently. I'm going to post a TON of pics, mainly bc I took a ton. They're just so pretty, and it's kind of frustrating bc I can't seem to get them to show in pics as well as they look IRL, they have this gorgeous glow.

Yvonne's pics first, followed by mine. (Note as far as size: she said that they're 4 mm each, tcw .8, but I think she may have meant to say 4.4 mm. I'm not sure of the exact mm, but I have several pairs of gems from Yvonne that I know are right at 3.5, 3.75 mm, and 4 mm, and 4.1 mm, and these are larger than all of them (though not quite at 5 mm). I know that she had some that are 4.4 mm in her batch, and I'm wondering if these are actually that size. I'm certain that they're larger than my 4.1 mm cc garnets, and those were measured with calipers for sure. I'm including one pic of the 4.1 mm garnet next to the earring just to show that, I think you can see what I mean. Which is why I'm thinking they are from the 4.4 mms out of the batch).

Extremely good color!

And ear pics, you'll have to excuse my sad looking ears, lol. They look kind of awful up close (the ears, not the earrings, ha!). But from far away they look great. These pics aren't good, as I have a difficult time getting pics of my ears ;)

Thanks OTL! I think the color is wonderful. They are the "bluest" sapphires I've ever owned, in the past I've owned sapphires that were WAY too dark (before I knew better. I've since sold most of them except for a few pieces my husband gave me that I keep for sentimental reasons).

They have mild heat treatment only.

Wow :) Those are really nice!

Your earrings are really pretty. The sapphires are a great color.

Lovely color. Yes, they are indeed "nice!" ;))

Thank you Marcy!

Lol, I am thrilled with them, I must admit. They are by far the nicest I've ever owned personally. It's just fun to get to own a pair of pretty blue ones rather than the dark almost black sapphires I've had before I knew better :)

Very very sweet! Any idea if the vendor's sapphires are diffused?

Love the color!

Wow I love those earring! The blue color, the milgrain bezel, the rose gold.... love love love! And thanks for giving out a link in case we also wanted a pair! You read my mind!

Thanks for posting pictures. I like the color of your earrings! Nice, bright and sparkly, and so divine blue...

She has been selling all of these as "heat treatment, " nothing else". I know she spot checks her gems at the lab all the time, this is the jeweler I buy all of my gems from.

Thank you catmom and Alice!

FiZ - you're welcome, hope it works out for you to get your own pair :)

Nice sapphires -- and i LOVE them in rose gold!
