I would make occasions for such lovely gems. It is TDF Perhaps just the cluster/halo for the bottom dangle and keep the top just the ruby, or switch halo on ruby as dangle part and sapphire on top.So, I forgot about the rubies.
Still in denial obviously.
So I really really like this idea. Please excuse the Swarovski crystals - they are supposed to represent the diamonds (much too big, I’m thinking .05 melee)
But how much would having these made cost do you think?
Probably more than $5,000 (which I can’t really justify-afford).
It’s a bit crazy I know, here I am with over 4 carats of rubies and 6 carats of nice sapphires quibbling about spending $5,000......
The other issue is, where on earth would I wear such amazing earrings?
I’m retired now and my lifestyle is more walking dogs, doing various charity based activities and dinner at the local restaurants. When I was younger I went to more formal events, ballet, opera, weddings, balls, the races, fancy restaurants etc - these days not so much interest, I’m happier being in bed by 11!
But wouldn’t they just be divine.
Thank you.“I forgot about the rubies”....LOL.
You win the Internet today!!
But wow, would those be lovely! You could wear them to walk your dog, right??
SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!!
Thank you.
Get ready for another laugh.
After I bought my pile of “crystal treasures” I unceremoniously “dumped” them all into my Lalique Fish display box. I’ve made the bottom of it all sparkly over the years - really pretty. Yes, there are some real gems (citrine, amythest, garnet - nothing fancy) in there but mostly CZ and glass crystals.
When I checked the one yellow stone I thought might be citrine, I quickly realized it was sapphire. What the !!!!!!!
Then I had the “fun” job of going through the whole lot (hundreds) to pull out what might be “real”. And one by one I realized that I had lots of sapphires and those “red stones” were not garnet.
Thank you.
