Sapphire search thread

Thank you, alene. I love the color but I am not sure about the shape, though I am not excluding it.
It remains an option.

I recently realized that shapes that elongate the finger are best for my hands (oval, pear).
I have never been crazy about about my small squarish nails and square-ish fingertips.
I feel like my hand needs elongation due to naturally small nail bed and square finger-tips, so I am not sure square stones would be best.

Just joined Pricescope and reading through sapphire threads..

I am also hunting for a oval approx 2carat blue sapphire and came across a vendor called nolanandvada.com They do not have any actual sapphire images on their website but their consultant has been showing some really good options..

I am also having a constant look at inventory of blue sapphires on brilliantearth.com, they seem to have some good options but a bit pricey though..

Thank you , chloe.

I have been trying to gather as many options as possible but I am at a point where I wonder if I should wait on ordering in a few and attend a show first. But the only show in my area is no happening until March - and even then, I am not sure the selection will be major.

The reality is I have not see that many sapphires on people's hands.
They are still relatively rare compared to the ubiquitous diamond e-ring or anniversary diamond ring. When I do see one, I can't go to that person and grab her hand so I can examine it in different lights.

The only sapphire I am closely familiar with is my mom's - which is an early 20th century cabochon cut, deep navy. But I am looking for a completely different type of sapphire and I feel like I need to see quite a few of them in person before I start ordering.
No jeweler in my area carries a wide enough selection of sapphires, so it will have to be a show.

I continue to compile options and vendors so that I can re-visit once I saw a few at the show (hopefully); so thank yoi for the nolanandvada rec.

I found Brilliant Earth to be quite expensive too.
