Sapphire setting CADs

No, I don't have a completed ring yet. The last communication was about a month ago. She was having trouble sourcing the trapezoid diamonds because they are so tiny. The sapphire that will be used is the one in my avatar. It's not quite as dark as the one in the CADs. This is costing a lot more than I had anticipated and has taken WAY too long.

Oh wow. I'm so sorry to hear this. After six months I thought for sure you'd have your ring. I hope the diamonds can be sourced soon and that your ring is on your finger not long afterwards.

It's here. Finally. And very pretty. The setting complements the stone quite nicely. I'd forgotten how pretty it is. This setting seems to have gotten rid of the half and half extinction that occasionally occurred in the old setting. The diamonds are small but sparkly. I guess if they were any bigger, the ring would be hard to wear. As it is, it's a nice size. It has sizing beads which keep it from rotating on my old finger.CvBpic1.JPG CvBpic2.JPG CvBpic3.JPG

It is stunning! Truly!!!! I hope the frustration with the time delay fades soon and you can fully enjoy the exquisiteness of that piece of art. I'd love more hand shots if you get a chance!

It's perfect it fits your finger perfectly.

Well hot damn! Its gorgeous.:love::love: I'd been following (I'm terrible with CADS unfortunately so of no help) the ring really does flow VERY WELL!

And of COURSE we need more pictures! :appl:

WOW !, I do have to say the ring is fantastic.

Thanks everyone for your kind remarks. It helps to validate the time and expense invested into this project. Having not seen it for seven months, the stone itself is prettier than I had remembered. The bezel doesn't darken it at all. In fact it seems to glow from behind. It has a little color zoning that is hardly noticeable unless the lighting is just right. You can see the discoloration in one of the pictures I took. The color in the glamour shots is close, but it needs just a dab of purple added to it. And there is a tiny chip in one of the table facets that happened while wearing it in the old setting, but only a jeweler (and I) would notice it. I will be much more careful about wearing it now.

I've been trying to get more hand shots, but between my lousy photography skills and veiny hands, I can't get a good one. Maybe when the weather changes I can go outside and get one.

Beautiful. The setting completely compliments the stone. The workmanship is lovely and the stone pops!

Thank you. Yes, it does complement the stone.

Seriously, it's perfect! Absolutely beautiful - the basket is amazing, and the setting shows off your lovely sapphire really well...it's the perfect size for your hand and looks stunning on you!

Gorgeous! I love everything about your ring.

Gorgeous!! :)

I was not feeling the CADS... but boy oh boy is this some extreme gorgeousness!!!

I love it! Love love love it!

Thanks again for all of the compliments. My only changes in the setting, if I had it to do over, would be to make the diamonds bigger or at least have single cuts. They are so tiny, and the sparkles are so minuscule that they are almost imperceptible. But really the whole effect works well together. If the diamonds were bigger, they might compete with the sapphire which really is the star of the show.

Wow, that's beautiful!!!

Well done. 10 out of 10 points!

following. Stunning design!
