School Pledge Is Ruled Unconstitutional

I meant to mention this a while ago after I read it in the paper...but they said that "in god" was added in 1954? Sorry if I got the date wrong, so that means, for years and years, the pledge was seemingly fine with out the phrase and only added in when there was the Communist scare. Why can''t they just take the phrase out again? Wouldn''t that solve all of the problems?
