Well, I did subscribe a few months ago, I never receive any new listings...I keep seeing people here bought from him during the period and thought maybe it is just a custom piece...

This is in fact the first GemScoop he has sent out in a while, so probably what you were seeing OTL, were custom or special orders...or maybe old stones getting repurposed, like in Chrono's pink tourm (I think?).

Minou is correct; JW has been too busy faceting commissioned stones all year to have a GemScoop this year until recently. Many of those seen lately here are older stones or pre-loved.

Its funny how things ebb and flow on Preloved; it seems that there rarely are JW stones resold and then recently, there have been a few. Lucky few who were able to snap them up, including NKOTB.

The one I really liked was the yellow zircon... yummy! But I just spent $$$ on my fiance's birthday present and am about to spend even more on his wedding ring, so I need to not buy random things. But I hope a PSer got it and posts many pictures.

I have continued to come back to this thread to understand those amazing photographs you took. Finally, I think I understand them! You wouldn't believe my mind's interpretation of what I was seeing!

There is indeed strangeness in the photos, I wondered if anyone would notice. Thank you Chrono and Minous. The first photo the stone appears to have have a bite taken out of it, but it is really just the copper plate underneath showing through the crown edge like a prism. Then the garnet is sitting in the water fountain drain. The drain hole is smaller than the stone, but it does quicken the pulse a little.
