Julia_SD said:Clairitek you are a very lucky girl!!!! It is great to hear about the Aurora being loved at its new homeyour information about the weight is very helpful. I am wondering if I called BGD and just wanted to chat about the Aurora if they would know what I am talking about? Is the Aurora still one of a kind? Or have more been produced since it turned out sooooo gorgeous.
Does anyone have a Memoire 5 stone band that they have hand shots of?

I really really like the Schodt bezel settings, and was contemplating a bezel setting in a 5 stone ring? Anybody seen one of those?

I would ask BGD to 'scale' the size of the stones to your finger size. I got a quote on a modified Aurora about 6 mos. ago, with 20 pt. stones instead of the 30 pointers, and 5pt melee stones, and also a version with 25 pt stones and 7pt melee. I think either version would keep the scale/proportions the same but make it fit a smaller finger. Also, Gypsy posted in a thread a while ago about the changes she would make to the original design, and I believe she said a closed gallery would have been her preference after wearing the band for a while. Let me see if I can find the thread...

Rubybeth - thanks for your input. I have read the thread before and have included several of her suggestions as changes. What is your ring size? So with the scaling your ring would have been more like 1.5 tcw for the .20 version? I've tried that weight on and it seemed very manageable.
Sorry for the late reply. I did a quick google image search that day for 'five stone bezel ring' or something similar and I don't remember the website I got the picture from. But it sounds like you're loving the aurora anyway. It is a lovely ring. I'm not sure it would work as a three stone though.Julia_SD|1357885281|3352813 said:Jane! Your pics are INCREDIBLE. I love the Aurora btw. I especially like the bottom one from the first message! Do you remember where you found it? Sleek, and looks comfortable!

I'm from a family of musicians, one of them a 1st violinist in the national orchestra, and most of the married/engaged people I've seen who play a stringed instrument wear their rings on their right hand. My sister (the violinist) got a white gold bezel set solitaire that was nice and light so she could play with it on her left hand. But when she added her wedding ring it got too much in terms of width along her finger so she and her husband (professional viola player) both wear their rings on their right hand. It's also more the norm in Europe I think, which is where they lived for many years.
Just a thought! Hope I haven't missed anything about this in the forum already![]()
