Seeking Halo ring re-set dream ideas!

Hello Ladies,

I'm new here and grateful for any ideas. I was recently gifted with my husband's grandmothers ring from the 1930's. I'm so honored to have this stone and eager to re-set it as my dream ring. It's a round, old european cut that is 3 carats, currently in a platinum setting with baguettes on the sides. I really want a delicate pave halo style setting and I'm very fussy about the look of the underside, basket of the ring and want that more contemporary and with diamonds underneath too.

Where are you located? I would definitely recommend going to a local jeweler and having a custom setting made. I have a setting with diamonds underneath the basket, like the Harry Winston micropave. I love that look! Good luck!
