Hello, I hope everyone is healthy and safe. I have an emerald cut, 4.01 carat, H, VS2 (GIA# 2183301479) set in a micro pave platinum band that I no longer need. I recently called off an engagement and live in Brooklyn.

I woudl suggest consigning. It's unlikely that a private party is going to pay that much to someone they don't know with no return policy/guarantees that they would get from a store.

OP, when advertising this ring, you could say "I'm selling a 4.01 ct H VS2 Emerald Cut diamond engagement ring by Marisa Perry in her platinum micropave Orchid* setting". There are people familiar with her (especially in NY) and mentioning the details of this ring right off the bat might be helpful to you. Also, a top view of the ring and a pic of the ring on your pinky (assuming it fits on the tip) could be helpful too.

*I'm not sure what setting this is but guessed based on the pictures you posted and the micropave settings on her website. I'd imagine it would say on the bill of sale.

Beautiful ring. You might also try some places in NY maybe they will buy it cash. Don't go in there and say you'll take $50-55k because nobody will pay you $55k when you also said $50k and will start bargaining you down from $50k. When I go to sell I let them give me a price. Sometimes I was pleasantly surprised and got more than I wanted in my head. Good luck. Sorry about the called off engagement it is a gorgeous ring.
