Great point lioness! When you almost think you're done with one ring, here comes another.

You've only just begun buying fine jewelry. Two words - push presents. ;)

Attached are the photos that were sent also. I'm not sure whether to go for the far left or far right. David had said the one to the far left looked whiter than the the one to the far left, which I can see in the video. However, the one on the far left has a slightly large culet, while the one to the far right has a medium.

Dammit, I hate you - ever since you posted this photo, AVRs (which have not been appealling to date) have suddenly started to ping my radar... :?

I wonder if small AVRs look better than small MRBs in earrings...

Lioness - You sure know how to kick a man when he's down ;)
Thanks for the find for comparison. Even though the OP on the other thread didn't get her setting from vatche, it really reminds me of this one. http://www.dvatche.com/index.php?page=collection&catID=3,12&id=3&alt=2
Does that mean I shouldn't have an issue if I choose this setting?

ooohshiny - I can't take all the credit, Gypsy played a role in this as well. I was living in ignorance, thinking that a RB/H&A was the only round cut... Until Gypsy came and blew my mind with the AVRs. Personally, I found that my gaze went towards the AVRs. But again, that's a personal taste... That I'm hoping will be her taste as well

I think with diamond earrings, you can't go wrong with either. I mean... who would turn down diamond earrings? :D

Packrat - Gorgeous ring! Thanks for posting pics to show. Like you said, the space is barely even noticeable. Looking from the top I can't even tell.

That Vatche one is going to be close to flush but not completely flush I'm betting, since it doesn't have the bridge under the stones-but it will probably so close as to be about unnoticeable. One thing, my stones are cushions and bezeled, so that probably hides part of the wee gap between.

I'd never do that! I'm just helping you understand that the education you're getting here will be put to use about once a year around your anniversary, Valentine's Day, shortly before her expected due date(s), etc.... It pays dividends endlessly.... ;)

As for the Vatche setting, it's hard to say. I've never seen it in person. A wedding band could sit flush, but it depends on the size of the center stone, how much it bulges underneath and the height of the band itself. I have a low-set three-stone as an engagement ring from my first marriage and I couldn't find anything that worked with it besides a curved band, which was annoying. I now have a halo with was designed with a high bridge so that I could fit a band underneath. Do your lady a favor - make sure there's some room under the center stone for a band.

I have an idea! Be back!!

If it doesn't have the bridge it won't sit flush. And I've tried that specific setting on and no, it's not going to sit flush.

You can get any of those other settings, and just have the vendor communicate with GOG about the sizes to order of the stones. And then they can send it when it is done to GOG and GOG can set it for you.
