setting ideas for cushion

okay if you had a cushion say 1.25 ct..
and you didn''t like halos, pave, mele nor solitaires....

what would you do?

finger size 6.75 - so proportion is a factor with the cushion being smallish.

Mrssalvo has offered a slew of lovely suggestions! How about a three stone with the cushion flanked by two round, colored stones? One of my favorites is a colorless cushion center with brown RB diamond sides. Or, maybe you''d prefer two yellow diamond sides, in cushions, traps, half-moons or shields...? Of course, there are always sapphires, round or cushion shaped... endless possibilities!

i keep going back and forth on how i feel about half moons....

i am not the biggest fan of mixing colored stones and diamonds - for a first diamond ring.

if the center was HUGE i wouldn''t have such struggles...

I really like the baguettes a lot. you''d just have to make sure whomever was doing the setting knows how to proportion them correctly with your center stone.

actually does anyone have any pics of cushions with pears?
i have only been able to find one set - but it was someone on here with the stones loose and i never saw teh finished ring...

would love pics if anyone has...
