I'm still strongly considering doing a reset on my 2.538 RB ACA and am looking for feedback on comfortable settings, specifically, ones that do less spinning on the finger.
I notice that the current fashion is very thin shanks, and while I think they are lovely and really make the stone pop, I think that the spinning issue is more likely in this type of setting, and it's driving me nutso!
Does a 3-stone setting spin less, because the sides hold more steady against the neighboring fingers? Does a cathedral type setting hold more steady up top of the finger? I know that my wider band ring (that was lost) did not spin, and while I could special order that from the maker, I am wanting to stay more contemporary than that.
Any suggestions? (FWIW, sizing beads and euro shank on this ring wouldn't work for me, I would never be able to get used to that!)
Thanks for any comments!
