sexy songs

Drive - Melissa Ferrick ("You head is bent back, your back is arched....I'll hold you up and drive you all night, I'll hold you up and drive, baby til you feel the daylight...")
Hey Pretty - Poe ("You've got to follow me, boy I'm trying to show you where I'm at, Hey pretty, don't you want to take a ride with me?")
Secret - Maroon 5 ("I know I don't know you, but I want you so bad...And as you wipe off beads of sweat, slowly you say 'I'm not there yet'")
Come on Closer - Jem ("Come on closer, I wanna show you, what I'd like to do, you sit back now, just relax now, I'll take care of you...")

Ahhh, I know *exactly* the type of songs that get you going! Urm...that sounded oh-so-wrong...hahahahahahha.

I haven't heard 'Hey Pretty' and 'Drive', just you-tubed them. I LOVE Jem, her voice is so sultry and hot. Anyways, here are two fabulous suggestions that are totally up your alley and might just rock your boat:

- Caramel (Suzanne Vega)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eO_dEiN1FkE&feature=fvst

- Chocolate (Kylie Minogue)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_EmAwSVeOE&ob=av2n

How weird they're both food related titles! Let me know what you think ;-)

I thought of three more. Another one from Maroon Five (I really don't listen to them all that much) "Sunday Morning." I also love Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars." A more recent favorite is "Crazy Love" by Michael Buble, although Brian McKnight has a good version it's not exactly sexy to me.

What do you think of the original version of Crazy Love by Van Morrison compared to the other two?

Well it's my favorite, but I figured everyone already knew that version. I don't necessarily think it's sexy though.

Van Morrison has a sexy voice for sure, I just don't know that "Crazy Love" shows that off as well as say, "Someone Like You" or "Tupelo Honey."

Don't hate me! :D

AGBF, Tori Amos's cover of "I'm on Fire" was my first thought.

My second and third were Peggy Lee's "Fever" and Massive Attack's remix of Garbage's "Milk."

Glad to see so much trip hop on the list!

Editing to try to add links:

Kata, I had that Massive Attack song listed as my first choice! Ofcourse, I called it by it's original name, before they got into trouble for that. Actually, that entire album is hot hot hot! When 'Angel' comes on loud at home, hubby knows I'm upto no good.

Since we gave similar taste in music, I'm going to dl your other two recommendations!

Massive Attack: Black Milk
NIN: Closer
Oh my god. Can't believe I forgot to mention this. Has anyone seen 'Fight Club'? The scene when Marka and Tyler Durden are having sex, the soundtrack playing is SO HOT. The track's called 'Marla' and I think the entire soundtrack was by the Dust Brothers.

But I think all of you have figured out I like dark, obscure music, haha.

I had to dig this up JUST BECAUSE of this song.

I cannot.... cannot... cannot get enough of Katy Perry's E.T.

I mean seriously.... cannot get enough.

"The Very Thought of You" by Billie Holiday. =)

"The More I See You" - Nat King Cole.

I don't like smutty sexy songs, as you can tell...the more subtle and romantic, the better. ;)

Agreed!! I love Use Somebody, too.

Also, not so much about the lyrics, but One Republic, Apologize. That man's voice sends tingles down my spine! And I like Say, and Secrets.

One of my favorites EVER: Foo Fighters: Best of You. You can just feel the energy and passion oozing out of this sing.

Audioslave: Like a stone
Foo Fighters: Everlong
Incubus: Wish you were here

I really seem to like the song threads. I am always a major contributor to the thread on Christmas music that comes along each December! I was glad when this thread popped up again because I had thought of a lot of other sexy songs since the last time it came 'round! Here are just a few of them. (I am going to have a list as long as dragonfly's soon!)

"Sea of Love" by Phil Phillips and The Twilights http://www.last.fm/music/Phil%2BPhillips%2B%2526%2BThe%2BTwilights/_/Sea+Of+Love

"No One Else On Earth" by Wynonna (Judd) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmAMti3NeLY

"Give Me One Reason" by Tracy Chapman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2kEx5BLoC4

"Somewhere DownThe Line" by T.G. Sheppard (or anything sung by him with his low, sexy voice...I love his version of, "Solitary Man" )

"You Can Leave Your Hat On" by Tom Jones

"Seven Year Ache" by Roseanne Cash http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrUs_FWqj9s

oh, yes, this song!! love it!!
although, i'm not familiar with the tom jones version....off to watch the link now...

Hmmm...Sex and Candy- Marcy Playground. Also, American Woman- The Guess Who ( )

It's sort of embarrassing to post those! ::)

And Drive is... :o Wowza!

Pils--so "Sex & Candy" kind of freaks me out because it was written by a guy who walked into a dorm room or apt. and he immediately said he smelled sex and candy. Toooooo realistic for me. Ever since hearing that story I've been weirded out by that song. Also, knowing that someone wrote a song about the smell of sex combined with candy? Yowsa. ALSO: one of my best college friends used to DJ and he played that song nonstop and thought it was his "signature" song. So yeah...I kinda hate it. Sorry!!! I'm sure "Ignition" (which I recommended) gets similar reviews, being written/released by R. Kelly, king of peeing on people. LOL

Dragonfly, you have some great picks! I love Bryan Adams' "Really Love A Woman," very sexayyyy! That is a down and dirt-ay song!

:appl: :wavey:

Love this thread!

Stay With me (Brass bed) - Josh Gracin

OK...I don't know this one, dragonfly, but will go look for it. The title made me think of a 1969 Bob Dylan song I have always loved, however. Could it be the same song? I adore Bob Dylan's, "Lay, Lady, Lay" which has lyrics in which the singer asks his woman to, "lay across (my) big brass bed".

Not the same song... Both are great! Josh Gracin's is really sexy, though.
