Sharing my relatively new AVC in yellow gold

Thanks everyone for the warm wishes re: Kuma and kind words about the ring. It means a lot. I love my dang cat so much.

Your new ring is beautiful! I really like the thick band with it, I'm a lover of a contemporary, clean-lined look, so this is right up my alley!

Also your ring and 7 stone band pair nicely together. Great combo!

Little update..

I’ve had an unfortunate time with the setting. I’m so bummed. I bought the setting used with intent to melt it down and make a middle finger band.

I was working with DG originally for a setting for this AVC, when I had to pause my project with Rhino. So,
I figured I’d see if the jeweler locally could set my stone into this YG Ingwer. He said no problem. But the stone was loose when I brought it home. And the prongs wonky. So back it went, and when I brought it home for the second time, under my loupe I noticed one prong has been truncated and the stone isn’t seated correctly and is just resting against this prong. So back it went again. Picked it up for the third time and no change; the prong is still exactly as it was, with the stone just resting against it. I thought I was going crazy. I left the store and went directly to the only other local fine jeweler with a good reputation and they took some time to look it over. Turns out the stone isn’t seated right in any of the prongs. They said they’d need to start from scratch to get it securely seated. To the tune of $700 :cry2: So I have a meeting with the owner of the original jewelry store Friday. I’m going to ask for my money back. I’ve asked Rhino to unpause my project. Talked about it with my husband and we both agree it’s better to just move on from this jeweler. I’ve used them a bunch of times, but they recently let their jeweler go and got a new one and I’m just done.

That's shocking and so upsetting, @Alybetter. Fingers crossed your stone makes its way to more capable hands soon.

Thanks so much.. It really was bizarre. I am glad to be using Jon this time around.
