I love this cameo of a young Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. I especially love how jewelry that was made like the more expensive pieces (made in more humble material for affordability) but looking very pretty in their own right.

It's the twisted stem of a stickpin. The twist is to help prevent the pin from falling out of the lapel or other cloth it's stuck through.

my grandma had loads but my older cousin got them to play with, i was too young, there were sharp bits
