eeee! I''m so excited. BF is sending stone in today to be set. Yes it will probably still be a month before we have it back, but it''s really being sent in now , so it''s so much the sooner!! yay! I hope it all turns out well.

Oh, and tomorrow I''m calling to make an appointment for the actual wedding ceremony

I left it with my BF starting in June when I moved back home from school. So I''ve only played with a couple times since then. I''m just sooo excited that soon it will be a complete ring. Actually, now that I think of it, I just might miss having it loose. It was LOTS of fun to play with

We''re getting married on Nov. 25, provided there is an opening , but I''m pretty hopeful that there will be. The other night Cliff asked how long till we get married?? 3 months and 2 weeks!!!! Wow, it''s coming up soon, we''re so excited

Oh, and I''m getting the Lockes Signature solitaire. It''s a six prong with little diamonds around the head. I''m sure you''ve seen it around here!

That''s cool. He always wanted our wedding day to be the day before his b-day so he wouldn''t forget our anniversary. And it has just so happened that it will be that day after all!

I don''t have a wedding dress yet, need to get on that... And I do have a collage of wedding ideas around here somewhere on PS. I''ll dig it out later, don''t remember where it would be... hmmm....

I am so excited for you!!! i have been lurking on pricescope for awhile now,and this is my first post. I have seen many settings here but this is defiinitely one of my favorites. I am hoping to upgrade soon (but not soon enough, sigh) and had finally decided that I wanted the Lockes setting after I had seen Matatora''s. In fact as soon as I saw it I knew it was the one. Actually, I saw Kristydarlings Lockes inspired ring first, and I love hers too. But from reading your previous posts it sounds like Lockes is changing their policy on selling their setting without you buying their stone too, sigh.

I hope they know that some pricescopers are very interested in this setting and the list of people from ps obtaining it is growing (check out diamondlove''s recent post with her new lockes setting). I wish that someone from Lockes would post here exactly what their policy is going to be (maybe they would make exception just for us PS''ers

). I can understand that they want to establish their own brand of diamonds, but I think they should realize that they are getting a lot of free advertising right here on PS, everytime a pricescoper posts pictures of their ring in their Lockes setting....

At any rate I am happy that you will be getting one and that they honored their word with you. Please keep us updated on everything, and let them know that we really do adore this setting.

That's for alerting me to Diamondlove's e-ring post, I probably wouldn't have seen it if you didn't point it out! I'm sooo glad you did. I hope that Lockes will allow you to set your stone. Have you asked them at all? One of the big reasons they had said they wouldn't set mine is because it is a K color. They said they are working "towards" only setting their own stones, but it seemed like they would easily set a stone of a higher color today. Honestly though, I have no idea what their real policy is. They didn't give it to me in writing

But I really hope that you can have one for your upgrade! I told them that we'd love for someone from Lockes to join the forum because so many people have been interested. They said that they would when they have hand pics to post.. so who know when that is....

Anyways, thanks for sharing in my excitement everyone!

Hey sunkist! I have a funny story for you. My DH & I got married the day before his birthday. When we were in the process of choosing the date, he joked with me about how I''d probably combine his birthday & anniversay gifts. (Apparently his grandfather''s birthday was the day before Christmas so he''d get one sock for his birthday & the other for Christmas, etc..)

So, on our wedding day, I gave him a little blue box from Tiffany. He opened it to find one cufflink engraved with his intials. The next day I gave him his birthday gift--the second link, engraved with my initials.

He was very amused.

My brother got married the day before his birthday. The reception lasted past midnight so we drank a toast to his birthday at 12. And now he can''t possibly forget the anniversary!

Our date is 11 days before my FI''s birthday. He says it sucks because he thinks I''ll combine the presents and I said "what makes you think I would ever do that??" I''m one of those people that thinks birthdays are a really big deal and I always overwhelm him on his birthday... so once we get married I''ll shortchange him??? He realized he was worrying for nothing!

And yes! We scheduled a reservation for our wedding ceremony!!! It''s so exciting

Now we can''t believe we have to wait 3 months for it. We''re planning the honeymoon now, he''s super excited about that. I think we''re going to Hawaii!! I''m waiting to delve into wedding plans till my mom comes home from a trip in a couple days. And, well, actually I guess I was waiting too for the actual proposal too... well, I''m ready to get started.

But! I know when the ring is going to be done!!!!!!!!!

Hee, hee! It was printed on the receipt they sent us. I didn''t tell him that I noticed though, I want him to surprise me as much as possible, he''s been waiting for that! Anyways, they said it supposed to be done by Sept. 5th, which is in 2 weeks! I can''t wait to be really engaged to my sweetie!
