Should TG go FG or get martinis while preggo?

i don't insure my studs because we could afford to replace them so it doesn't make sense yet. however, next set (aka PLANZ) i would maybe insure. hopefully they'll be big enough to, dratted inventory constraints (and that pesky thing called a budget...i mean do other people REALLY need christmas gifts from us? really?). hehee.

Yeah, I could afford to replace them, but boy, mentally it would hurt, and I doubt I''d do it. In my case, I decided to insure it because the SETTINGS kind of punched me in the gut. Bah. But 28 bucks a year...gotta be happy with that.

And you should actually be afraid. I think that''s what happened to me....what is it about pregnant women? They want everyone else to be pregnant too. Someone hexed me. Seriously, I am still the first to say, "Don''t do it!"

Yeah, I trust that you and Mara are straight shooters enough to tell me what ya think about J's...and I know you love them. Plus as Mara said, I've seen her J and all I saw was sparkle (although I didn't grab and assault her hand/ring or anything).

Have ya got 'PLANZ' too? I love your inspiration-al earrings, by the way. Those are my final final dream earrings...I'd never take them off. I'd want a carat each!

And doncha think Mara would make a FAB momma? I've seen her with Portia and she's SUCH the SAP.

Well, lemme tell ya, even if you DID grab her hand/assault mode, you'd have only seen sparkle. Hers is the only stone I'd fallen as completely in love with as I did mine. If I were to ever get another stone or upgrade, that would be the one stone I'd want.

I've had a TON of J stones. The halo pendant (.75) is a J. I also had a solitaire .74 J (which I traded up to one of the .75 H SI2 stones in my leverback earrings).....that .74 J was also quite white. There's a picture of it actually set in yellow gold in one of the recent threads. I'm really confident that .30 Js won't show body color to the point of being distasteful, if you even see it at all.

Planz? MOI?? heheheheh - well, sort of. I just traded one of my J studs because I don't really wear them anymore; as KtIceRn noted, these leverbacks are just SO darned comfie that I wear them daily. You know I recently saw Mara, and someone with us mentioned how versatile they seemed because they looked completely understated when I wasn't dressed up, but looked really elegant and fitting when I was dressed up.

I'm considering setting my strong blue .55 J into a solitaire bangle setting, but I'd have to have the stock piece adjusted as I prefer it thinner on the bottom hemisphere. I've just traded the other stud stone in....and working on a project I've wanted for a looooooong time and was hoping to get when I hit the 10K mark. However, things on that front have changed, and I know that pricing is going up, so it seemed like a good time to move on it.

More later on that when I'm closer to completion.

OHHHHHHHHH, and yes, I DO think Mara would make a fab momma.......once the kidlet broke her in right!!! LOL She's a big pushover for Portia. I dunno, though......we'd know for sure it was Mara's kid if the child let her balance the e-ring on her head for pictures! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!

ETA: I just did it and my premium increase was $26 for the earrings.

I wonder if I should ensure mine and my pendant or just rely on home-owners insurance since I don''t have my eng. ring insured?

Yesterday, my son was messing w/my hair and yanked one of my earrings nearly out! The back moved just into the groove of the push back. I took them off and now am afraid to wear them.

I agree...Mara''s stone is a knockout. I don''t know her that well yet, so maybe the next time I visit I will be braver and attack her hand! But the woman has impeccable taste, to be sure.

MC...get all your stuff insured, pronto! It would SUCK regardless to have something happen to a piece as sentimental as an e-ring, but it would lessen the blow by a little bit to have insurance. I don''t believe homeowners covers it like the way jewelry insurance does.

Iwanna, it''s at fed-ex now. I have to do a few things and then will pick up this afternoon. Don''t know when I will be able to open it though, as it''s a gift, so I am going to let the giver decide. I am hoping TGuy will let me open it today. Friday he has to go back to work, so I can do a photo shoot at my leisure...I want to do it while he''s away so he doesn''t have any more ammo to tell me what a loon I am!!!
 
OK...off to pick up fed-ex. It''s in a really dodgy part of town. If I don''t come back in one piece, please tell TGuy I never peeked...
