Should Women Over 40 Cut Off Their Hair?

I LOVE seeing all of the long hair photos! I don't plan on cutting may hair and I'm 49. To be honest, I look awful in short hair. I am not good at taking photos and the "halo highlights" in the middle of my head is a reflection of the light in my bathroom, plus I'm in my PJ's...... When I straighten my hair it's about 4 inches longer...
