Wow....thanks Diamanteblu! Those are great!

I''ve got to go google LizC...I''ve never heard of her. And you found lots of LM rings I somehow missed before...thanks!

I have a star ruby ring but the ruby is prong set [in a diamond pave dome ring], not bezel set, even though it is a cabochon. You may want to consider prongs too. I can find some pics of cabochons with prongs if you like.

LizC does not have a web site yet [I''ve looked!]. She must be too busy designing/making jewelry. The best place to see her stuff is in the BTD thread that I posted above. You can email her [I posted it above] also and she''ll send you pics of other pieces she has made [she will work in anything]. She''s pretty prompt in her responses.
Blu

BTW, here is a sugarloaf cabochon set in prongs by Sabbadini:

You are welcome. I''ll see what else I can find. You may want to check out the Marina B site [the pics are not letting me copy them in a pricescope compatible format] there is some cool stuff there: http://www.marinab.com/
BTW, the B stands for Bulgari

My favourite ever - Hest88''s sister''s Asscher.

Blu...(do you mind if I call you "Blu"?????

I''m getting myself all mixed up with all this eyecandy. I only just now noticed that scrumptious sugarloaf sapph you posted!

Isn''t that color to die for?

I''d LOVE to see your star ruby...you simply MUST get a camera with a micro feature!! I''m DYING to see ALL of your treasures!

....and good point about cabochons not necessarily having to be set in bezels...definitely something to keep in mind...

Is LizC associated with Liz Clairborne??

Yup, Blu is fine!

Here are a couple more...

I think I found this on Pearlman''s site...but I''ve forgotten the designer! (Having a senior moment)

Widget- I really think that east-west marquis is cool. I''m in the optical business so anything that reminds me of an eye makes me happy

For a red cab, how about...

There are more where this comes from. Although the one below has the right color tinge, another turns up even more appealing to me (and more'bezel'):

With beauties like these it is hard to dare 'photoshop', but I surely have been thinking of it. Any chance you might unveil the secret identity of this misterious cab ?

Refraining to photoshop... right... remember me next time !

Hi, Ana...

Those are great!

Well...lordy...I almost hate saying it out loud. I'm only thinking right now, but if the past is any indication, thinking can get me into a lot of trouble

There's a stone out there I've been lusting after for quite a while....it's a star ruby.

Even if I decided to go for it...It would probably be a while before I got it mounted..
But it is fun dreaming about it, anyway!

Too spooky!!! While I'm sharing my innermost gem fantasies, you're photoshopping them into virtual life!

Great pictures!! (And, I might add, absolutely NO HELP in getting me off my latest obsession!

Here is one that I''m thinking about resetting my current diamond into. It''s an A.Jaffe, and I got the picture from their website. I do so wish they would have better pictures on their website.

Redraider-

Sorry for the picture.
I wish I had one just of the ring.

I think the bezel set one is lovely.
It''s by Karina Mattei, in Boston MA.

Fountain! This is NOT my thread!!! It was your thread that started it all...I just continued it here in the "show me" forum hoping we'd get more responses!
Besides...I love lots of fun activity in a thread...as far as I'm concerned, hyjackers are welcome!

Marlo: I agree...that bezel ring is great! Gotta go now and check out that Karina Mattei website...

She''s a Local gal, in Brookline Ma.
I''ve been to her studio and browsed her portfolio. Amazing stuff!
She specializes in organic styles. Very unique, Original works of art.
She isn''t limited to one aesthetic however - which I think is sort of unique for a designer.

She''s one of those designers/smiths who doesn''t want to put her work on the internet.
Sadly for the PS/internet crowd she''s afraid of her designs being stolen.
Karina would rather you come in and take a look at her portfolio.

Locals, if you''re at all inspired by the website, go to her studio and browse her portfolio.
She does spectacular work.

MarLO

I wish I could show all of you her portfolio

This is nice to run across-She''s making a ring for me. Very pleasant to work with, and I''m sure the finished product will be lovely...
