I've been wearing my Asscher alternative for nearly two years now... I've been married for just a bit more than four months.
I think we did pretty well... My little "J" gem shows pretty close to white and I'm quite happy with it!

I got engaged early July with my beautiful BGD halo e-ring. However, there was a mistake made in the setting of the rubies that I had to have changed. BGD was happy to correct the mistake and it was done in a matter of days. My computer has been acting up (must be the Texas heat!) so I haven't been able to upload my pictures until now.
The BGD e-ring is a 1.261c J SI2 AGS 000 set in a platinum halo. The "promise" ring is a .25c set in white gold from a maul store.

This ring is so gorgeous I just had to share (with my friend's permission of course.) It is inspired by a Cathy Waterman design, some of you may recall Anna Paquin's rose cut engagement ring, which was a Waterman original. This ring has a 1 ct rose cut diamond bezel set in platinum, with tiny rose cut melee in the leaves, created by a local jeweler. Simply divine!! I hope you'll enjoy the photos!
Long story short, I taught him what I could and the resulting ring is HIS vision. It's more beautiful and more 'me' than anything I could have chosen myself. It's a 1.43 L VS2 August Vintage Cushion from Good Old Gold, and the setting was custom made in platinum by Brian Gavin Diamonds. A big thank you to both these outstanding vendors for helping create the ring of my dreams!
We're so happy and excited! I feel truly lucky to be able to spend the rest of my life with the most wonderful man, my perfect match.

I found James Meyer here on PriceScope after google imaging "bezel setting engagement ring" to show examples to my boyfriend. We had been dating 5 years-- I felt I had earned the right to provide some guidance. I knew immediately that I wanted James Meyer to make my ring. My boyfriend and I made the trip from New York City to Williamsport, PA to visit James. We could not have had a better time. We played with his dogs, learned a lot about diamonds, and even met his lovely wife, Anne. I had an idea of what I would be getting, but I could never have imagined a ring as beautiful as the one I received the night we got engaged. It's a 1.32 carat cushion cut diamond in platinum with yellow gold wraps. James thinks the stone is from the 1880's. I'm happy I have it in 2011! I get compliments on the ring constantly. It is absolutely beautiful.
here are two different pictures (the first one in the garden with bright sunlight and the second one is in the office).
the ring is 1.04 ct princess cut J color - VSS2.
I am not happy with the yellow color and of course i can not always stay outside to see the ring sparkling
What do you think ? Please help me !!!
