Show me your 22k -24k jewellery!

Some of the small embedded diamonds are pastel colours. This has me pretty much convinced the ring was hand made in India.

PS Homer is no relation! :mrgreen2:

I see that there’s an inscription on the side, could you post a clearer pic of that? From a cursory look it doesn’t look like most Indian scripts to me but it’s not clear enough for a definitive conclusion!

Thanks, for the pictures, @etudes. I don't know that I've ever seen another ring like it. How cool!

I absolutely love the colour on this one. The jeweller I’ll be buying from gas a slightly different shade to his 22k, although not by much but this is the shade I love the most. Homer Simpson got nothing on this shade right here!

The jeweller I’ll be working with has great prices on his pieces and only carries 22-24k. I’ve been noticing that Chinese 22-24k gold seems to have a slightly richer yellow tone than the pieces I’ve seen from India. At least based on pictures that I’ve seen.

Does your jeweler have a website or take online orders ? I’m looking for some 24k pieces and having a hard time finding a reputable place. Thank you

It's stamped with I believe the goldsmith's mark, because it's not my grandparents' initials (probably chinese/southeast asian jeweler)

No website as far as I know, but you never know what they could do for you. Might still be worth a shot.

Here’s a link:

I have a band - the first photo is boring but shows the absolute crazy color of it. I wear it with my spinel (second photo ) and I had dk use a special “antique” yellow gold in 18k which is close but still can’t beat how *chefs kiss* this simple band is.
it’s my most worn item.

I’m intrigued- what does DK do to the gold to give it an antique look? I’m also looking for a simple 22k antique band. Hard to find in my size and price range!

I have a fully round band in 22k from Aurous (etsy and instagram). I've worn it every day since I recieved it with zero issues. I absolutely adore it.

He uses a different formula of 18k gold.

I have been searching for a 22k older band and I chose one finally but it looks rosy to me. Do any of your 22k look rosy? It was advertised as yellow. I put pics here:

But thought I would also hop on this thread for some input.

I have a few 23K pieces I bought while living in Japan, i will have to fish them out of safe and post pics

Yes some 22k gold appears a bit rosy in color. This is especially true for gold from India, Russia and UK. Here is a picture of 2 rings both in 22k (one Indian one from us ). The thick band is Indian and definitely looks closer to rose gold 24BD41BF-1BB9-41BF-9159-482E351DDFF4.jpeg

I love both especially that carving on the bottom one!!!

I bought a 22K English band a while back and it had such a rosy tone that at first I was going to sell it. In the meantime I ordered another one. While I was waiting for the other one to arrive - which took quite a while -the rosy one began to really grow on me. The new one came in the mail today and I love the color of this one too. So I’m keeping both because that’s how I roll lol.

I have a couple of pieces of Indian 22k(?) if I remember right, I went and dug them out. There's earrings around here somewhere but I can't find them. They have that dayglo gold sheen, even at night in bad lighting.

I love those pieces! Especially the necklace! And the ring on the right reminds me of an owl. :)

The little owl one I love and it survived being stepped on by my newly walking baby nephew over twenty years ago(it lost some beads, flattened the top of others, and the enamel was a bit pulverized by that tiny motoring sneaker, but gained a whole new identity )

These are amazing!

I have one high karat piece, which originally belonged to my grandmother. It’s a bit of a hodgepodge actually — the coin (Austrian 4 ducat) is 23.75kt, the bezel/frame is 18k, and the rope chain is 14k.

It’s beat to heck, but I think that has more to do with its previous owner than anything — she was known to ride her jewelry hard and put it up wet

Gorgeous! They are both amazing! If I may ask, where did you find your vintage rings?

Here are 2 bands in 22k next to 24k earrings. The color difference is amazing to see DFDEE508-74FD-4862-8B7D-72F425099138.jpeg

That earring is incredible!!! The colour makes it look like it has a life of its own!

That’s beautiful. From Mene? Do you love it? I was looking at all their new items and finding it very hard to choose. For some reason I was very drawn to this pendant even though I feel like hearts would make me look too young? https://mene.com/pendants/gold/heart-in-heart-pendant-gold

Yes they are from mene. I really like this one. I also have the blossom ones but prefer the lilies.

That pendant is very beautiful. As far as too young - depends how you plan to wear it. IMO if worn on a chain it should be fine. But if worn on a leather string, choker length - maybe for a younger audience

I got the rosy one at an eBay store called prioryantiques and the yellow one from Daisy Exclusive. One in the UK and one in Canada. I'm in the US and don't really like buying internationally but it was so hard to find what I was looking for in the price point I wanted.

Wow I can't believe how different it looks despite 22k being almost pure.
