I’d love to see more photos (personal or internet) of ways to wear pearls more casually. Like T-shirt and jeans or sweatpants casual. Especially in this work from home era haha. Most of the photos I see online are pearls being worn with business casual or formal wear. Would love more inspiration pics of how to rock pearls while dressed for walking the dog or a run to the grocery store! I feel like I see a lot of diamonds worn casually in real life but pearls aren’t that common. At least up here in the north east US where I live.

You can influence us all :appl:
I wish my dyed freshwaters were not in a hundred pieces because i wore that with everything !

....wait here
i have one of Gary's old work singlets on today - sexy black with a touch of glue or old paint!
Ill get mum's pearls out !
They need restrung but they are over due for a wear - not good for them to sit in their box for ever

Probably not quite as casual as you were thinking ....

Don’t have a photo but yesterday I went out in my jeans and khaki hoodie wearing my Freshadama and diamond dangles! Actually looked and felt pretty good! Earrings a bit like this but with one little diamond, not two.59F47896-3FFF-41B3-878C-41436C299B9B.jpeg

Haha here are my casual pearls over a not so casual outfit. LOL doesn't he look darling?

I don't have any of my pearls with me here but here's an older photo I found re how I wear them. I used to wear them casually and love the classic look of a strand of pearls. Easy and casual or you can dress them up if you wish. I love them with a scoop neckline.

This photo sucks because it doesn't show their true color. Sorry about that. But it's the only photo I have wearing them so including for that perspective only.

Here is a better photo of them. They are beautiful in person. These are the PP metallics.

I like to mix up colors and shapes, add pendants, tie ropes or put small pearls between big pearls to lessen the formality. Here are some looks with the most basic of my T-shirts. On a side note- it never ceases to amaze me how photographing selfies of pearls turns a 34B into a 36D.

@LisaRN hahaha you’re too funny. The pearls are gorgeous!

My most “casual” looks are my single drop Tahitian pendant and my GSS. Here’s the GSS with a T-shirt. Still looks a touch weird to me but nothing too out of place.

Love a guy who pulls off pearls! Oh man, one of my favorite things about dating other women was being able to share clothing and jewelry closets. My current partner is a man with no interest in shinies. But maybe with time... I already got him into nail polish!

You rock that look!

This is what I settled on today. Baroque FW metallics and white FW rope. Biggest excitement will be taking the dogs for a walk with a friend after I get done cleaning.

I'm a jeans and t-shirt girl :) Akoya
and tahitian keshi.

Perfect !

This thread, with the fancy-casual glamour of everyone’s pearls, has me wanting to add my first strand faster than I can type this post! Ha!

Beautiful pieces!!

I have lots of pearls mixed with other stone that look more casual than the classic single strand.

Pearls and black onyx.
763125
Pearls with green agate (L) blue agate (C) and Carnelian (R)

Coloured pearls on a choker

Pink pearls on a multi strand wire763122
Chunky potato pearls

I'm getting old and grey, therefore I traded in style for eccentricity. Less stress, and you don't have to worry about it. Kinda kidding, kinda not. I do love pearls though!

I wear tin cups. (Fresh water and semi precious stones along with Tahitian keshi and pearl tin cup)

I also have a lovely Kamoka drop I wear on a wire.

Lastly, I love, LOVE Tahitian pearls. I like ringed, colorful imperfect Tahitians.
The single strand is a highly lustrous but petite Tokki strand. They have all sorts of funky extra bumps.

I have two other ringed pearl strands that I stack to go out.

I’m wearing all the pearls today haha. Well almost. Over a scoop neck sweater with pajama pants. We will see how many odd looks I get..

No odd looks from us
we love it !

I know this isnt technically the right forum for this but i have never seen HM do causal pearls before and i saw this from a recent zoom call and i just had to share
Ok i know she isnt in sweat pants or her jammies but a cardy is kind of old school casual and just look at how jaunty (for want of a better word) those pearls are :mrgreen2:

Haha I own a white cat, can you tell? I was definitely over accesssorized for grocery store and post office but who cares, I had fun!

HA, cat hair is everywhere at my house too. I still love your pearls so much it made the cat hair invisible.

If it hadn't been so hot today i would have warn this out
ive desided to wear this funny little dyed pearl bracket bangle thing before i pull it apart to remake the matching necklase20201217_194358.jpg16081882331601229545130.jpgits a bit saggy now :mrgreen2:

I didn’t make these @MakingTheGrade, but because of them, I did start making beaded jewellery, and sold quite a lot back in the day.

They’re all lovely, but I especially like this colour block style. It looks great on you!

These are great. Pearls and onyx - I’m a sucker for monochrome! The combination with the green agate also really catches my eye. Lovely!
