Show me your deep stone rings!

I am considering a stone that is 8mm wide, and 6.7mm deep. I worry this is a little too 'tall' for my engagement ring (something I want to wear almost everyday).. the stone is a chrysoberyl so should be pretty strong in itself. could you share any rings you've seen of this height/depth?
