Show me your East West emerald cut rings!

I came across one the other day that was up for resale that I really liked, and regret missing. The stone was long & narrow, and I really loved the proportions. This was a 1.2ct, 9.05mm x 4.43mm.

it’s only .8, the center EW emerald, but here you go!

@caolsen I love your emerald EW ring! I’m playing around with getting one...I’m going to need help finding one!

Thank you!! That's so funny that you're having two made though. After getting this one I found a few sapphires on etsy - one is going to be a super chunky solitaire in the same style, and the other is a square cushion that will have pear sides. Who needs to make decisions when you can just do one of everything instead. I can't wait to see your rings!

(Also do you (or anybody else!) know where I should put the thread? Does it have to go into lab made if it's a mix of stones? Is there a forum/area where I can post that only focuses on the style and not the stones origin?)

@crashsle did you end up posting a thread? I'm dying to see more photos of your ring.

Is this a Tiffany Etoile with an emerald cut?? :kiss2:

Goodness you have a good eye! Yes it is. Such an easy everyday classic setting.

This is my sister’s engagement ring. It used to be quite a bit larger, but she whacked the sapphire on something (and never noticed it), and it had to be recut. She turned it into a three-stone at that time. It does not look at home on hand, but she really pulls it off!

What can I say... I could sniff out a Tiffany anywhere

What is the carat weight, if you don't mind me asking? It's such a perfect size for that setting style.

Wow !
I love these a million times more than all those Lady Di/ Kate Middleton inspired halos

Haha you crack me up :lol-2:

it is 1.10ct. I saw on your other thread that you would like a Tiffany ring, is it the classic you want?

I feel the need to add this story here:

My sister is one of the only real life people that I talk about the nuts and bolts of jewelry with. We both love the bling! But we are also very different. For example: One weekend we were chatting about bling and she looked down at her ring and laughed, “OMG I was canning tomatoes last week.” And she plucked a dried tomato skin off this sapphire ring! I about died. She just remarked, “Kristin, we’re different.” Different.

Thanks I love it too. It’s funny I bought the spinel on a whim and I just happened to have spare bags floating around that fit it like a glove.

:appl:

It's beautiful & so classy.

I'm desperate for a classic, yes. It's always been my dream ring, but sadly I didn't convey that to Mr T. His proposal was a total surprise a few months after we started dating. Then when my ring was damaged beyond repair, I was upset & not looking to replace it in a hurry. I should have piped up then really, as that's when he went & bought my pear cut, which i truly LOVE & would hate to part with.

But I want a classic round & I can't shake it. I have randomly bought Lottery tickets for years in the hope

Your pear ring is beautiful but I totally understand the craving for another ring.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for your lotto win ;)

That ring is stunning. The proportions are PERFECT and the color of that sapphire is glorious. Don’t know what the before ring looked like ( if possible is there a photo?) but this ring is amazing.

Here you go. I have to credit @mrs-b for the design of this ring. She designed it and had it made then took it apart and sold me the little EC and allowed me to copy the design. It's very comfortable.

Most comfortable ring I've ever worn, I think.

(...and hi, @Lookinagain!)

Beautiful. Stunning in its proportions and delicate bevel setting. Any possibility if a hand shot -please?
