Show me your heart shaped center stone settings

I love the color of my new Mahenge, but I'm not really a fan of heart shaped stones. I'm trying to figure out ways to set it that will not over emphasize the shape, or just work with the shape, who knows. But anywho - can you share your heart shaped center stone settings?

Hey there, I'm sooo glad to see you found your mahenge...although I have to admit, I think I'm going to miss all your posts and photos of various mahenges.... Until recently, I wasn't very fond of heart cut gemstones. I've seen a lot of really goregous gems and jewelry pieces on this forum that have made me change my mind, though. Were you considering a halo for your mahenge or something a bit different? A custom diamond halo would look gorgeous around the hot pink of your stone. If you weren't thinking halo, you could always set it in a gold band with open scrollwork and a few small accent stones, diamonds or maybe something in a paler pink? Geez... It'll probably be a tough decision, you have so many options!

I contacted Uppy's gal about possibly doling something like her ruby/omc band (hope you don't mind Uppy, its just so damned pretty) and also contacted the vendor that did carasu's little heart, but not for a halo, instead on of the split shanks on her page. I've also contacted DanielM to do some brainstorming. Just wish I could narrow it down a bit. I'm gonna keep on searching since I have time.

What about turning it N-S, placing it into a thicker filigree band, similar to Aoife's recent JKT ring, and using several asymmetrical accent stones dotted around it to throw the eye off the heart shape? I'd draw it, but I can't draw...

Nat, that's sort of the look I was thinning of when I contacted Uppy's gal, but maybe I'll JKT too. Exciting!

OK so these were two things I was thinking of doing something similar with, but somehow incorporating my heart shaped stone. I have the diamonds from my current setting and a few extras laying around my place. I want it in yellow gold.

This is driving me mental! I know there was a thread about 6 - 12 months ago that had nothing but heart cuts. Can I find it? Noooooo! I've searched everywhere so I could find a link for you but I can't track it down. Can anybody else find it?

In the meantime, here are some of my heart cuts. I used to think I didn't like them but I've got an embarassing amount! The one thing I've found is that designs are really limited. I'm yet to set my grey heart diamond because I can't find something unusual. Anyway, here's some of mine - not sure if there's any inspiration for you (probably not)! - most of mine are still loose so I'll be following your quest with interest.

Lanbo does have some heart settings (pretty standard diamond halos) but they're pretty if you get stuck!

Honestly I kinda like the setting that it's in better than most of the other examples! I think it actually minimizes the heart shape to the point that it looks like a trillion. The other one I like is the one above it with the wide band and the trillion cut stone (looks like a JKT piece...am I right?).

Yeah, it's a JKT ring. I kinda wanna pretend it is a trillion. I'm so bad.

I'm completely happy with the setting for now, but I know I'm going to want something else for it. Something more modern. It won't be for a while because I need to save up the fundage, but I really want to get a solid idea of what I want while I'm in the process of saving. Ya know?

If you look at my photos above, it's not dissimilar to my yellow diamond heart necklace. That has a bezel set heart as the main stone and then a DBL chain.

Nothing yet. I've contacted Uppy's gal about maybe doing a bezel sort of three stone band thingy (it sounds pretty in my head) but she hasn't gotten back to me. For now I'm just enjoying her in her 90's setting, biding my time.
