Thank you I had it set locally. I told them I wanted a very, very thin bezel and this is what they brought in. Their prices are good too. Back when I had it set, I paid under $500 for the platinum bezel and chain. I think that's an excellent price. Then again, it was over a year ago but even then, I received quotes for about double what they charged me.

This is a picture of my heirloom ring from my father''s family. The diamonds are both I - J VS2 1 ct old european cut diamonds set in antique platinum setting circa 1930. My grandmother wore this ring everyday, and I LOVE it.

My Asscher is a J, VS2 and I looooooove it...

It actually faces up whiter than I expected, but every now and then, the buttery warmth of a lower coloured stone comes through and it is breathtaking...

I find the warmer stones, especially with step cuts, soooo beautiful...

Personally, I''d be quite pleased with a M - O stone !!!!!

As long as the cut was good....

Julie I have a few pics you might find interesting if you don''t mind a few more!! I''m having my stone reset so a couple a loose pics.

Here was my 3 stone ring. The center is a 1.2 high J color, for comparison the sides are F in color. I guess I''m not that color sensitive because it never bothered me *much* but it did make the stone look more like a K to me.

I just posted this pic in another thread, but it''s the best one I have, sorry!
