I know Frekechild mentioned creating a post like this and I''ve been thinking the same thing.
Here are most of mine.
The largest stone in my colection is 2.9
Here are my spessartites.

A pink spinel. I wish it was larger because it''s my favorite shade of pink. Two amethysts, ones worn down and a lavender spinel that changes coloe a bit more than I like.

What a beautiful collection IK. Are you going to have any of them set soon???

Linda

An aqau, very light but well cut. Three sapphires that my friend broght back from madagascar. The green one has a window but I love it anyway.

The pink is pretty, innerkitten.

Thanks Linda, I wish i knew how to post more than one photo with each post. I don''t know what I''ll do with these. I will have some set but I''m i no hurry. I have fun with them as is :)

Last one! I did have a few stones made into earrings. These amethysts and these dark red spinels.
Thank you Harriet. if only it was larger!

Aren''t studs easy when you can''t figure out what to do?

Whoa, I love those earrings!!!!! I would love to have a spinel.

IK: I love all of your gems. I wouldn''t know where to start and which ones to set first.

Yes! Easy to wear and less expensive than a pendant or a ring.

Great collection! There''s something to be said about having loose stones to play with

Linda, I'm still hoping to see your pad sapphires soon :)

I know what you mean Monkeypie! I'm hoping to get my daughter into collecting when she gets older. She has seen my collection a few times. I have a loose diamond in there right now and today she requested a peek at it.

Linda,
Which one? Are you feeling better, btw?
P.S. IK, sorry for the wee threadjack.

No problem. Linda I didn't know you ween't feeling well. Sorry to hear it.

IK: I have pictures of them, but they are too big. I will have to try to downsize them. They are just the stones though, before I had a few of them set. Thank you, I am feeling better.

Harriet: I am better, but my doctor is sending me to a pulmonary lung specialist. I hope nothing is wrong. My asthma meds weren''t working, so she wants to make sure nothing else is going on. I do feel better though. It is smokey here AGAIN!! The wind shifted, so now we are getting smoke from the Big Sur fire.

BTW Harriet, YOUR NEW LEON SPINEL, tee hee. IK and I could trade wearing it.

I''m glad that you''re feeling better. Please don''t be like me and disregard the doctor''s instructions to see a pulmonologist.
Sure.

Harriet, I did think of not going!!! I am SO sick of doctor''s. Do you have lung problems???????? Please tell me, that is if you choose to.

Linda

Well, I ended up with bronchitis, at the very least, for 2 months! My boss said that not going showed poor judgement and he was right.

Innerkitten - love those Spess! and that pink spinel is beautiful, I would love to one day find that hot-pink color - it''s so vivid! Beautiful stones

Thats right your up North aren't you!? Not good for someone with asthma. We are even geting a bit of the smoke here in San Francisco.

Thank you babysteps. I love it too. It has no gray or dark tones to it, which I love. It's .90. I'm hoping to find a larger one in the same color one day.

Yep, I keep getting bronchitis, it seems like every other month. I am going to go, I don''t want anything serious to happen. I am glad you went.

Linda

IK: Yes, I am one hour out of S.F. I forgot that you live in S.F. It cleared for a few days, now it is back again.

I didn''t go, which is why I was so sick through February and part of March.

Oh geez, next time, I do hope you will go. I misunderstood. I thought you ended up going. Naughty girl Harriet.

IK: I hope the fog comes in and takes the smoke away for you.

Linda

Hee hee...

Here''s mine:
green tourmaline almost a carat(Barry Bridgestock), teal indicolite (just over .5 carat), 3 rhodolite garnets-2 around a carat, and one around 1/2 carat, demantoid (2.75mm), tsavorite (4mm), London Blue Topaz (just under 4cts), and silver topaz (who is blending in with the cotton) at 7.4 cts (Barry Bridgestock).

That spinel is beautiful. If you''re still looking for a larger one, I know that Richard Homer has some beautiful bright pink ones he just cut (I know only because I''ve been searching for a pink gem and he emailed me pics today). They were a little too bright for my liking--I''m more into the lighter pinks--but it looks like they might be right up your alley.

wow, what great colored stones! I think I need to start a collection....

Oh IK, I don't know!!!

I love the rich purple raspberry of the little rhodolite, and the amazing cut and funky color on the tourmaline, and the size/sparkle/cut/clarity of the silver topaz, and the funky greens of the demantoid and the tsavorite...And the color of the indicolite is probably one of my all time favorite colors. And of course my favorite color is blue, so there is a special place in my heart for the blue topaz.

Yeah I dunno. But if I had to choose one over the rest, I'd probably pick my first loose stone-the silver topaz. I've never seen anything else like it anywhere and I

it.

My least favorites are probably the darker red rhodolites-just because I'm more of a cool color girl and wouldn't wear them often.

What projects do you have planned for yours?

ETA: Silver topaz in direct sunlight. It's blinding.
