Wow! These are all so beautiful! I know this is posting a long time after the original post was formed... but I am wondering... Where can a person find ideally cut lower color stones? I have seen many lower color stones that are just gorgeous, and I would like a large stone. . . but they seem harder to come across the lower in color you go. So where are they hiding? :)

I believe someone already answered you in another thread but if you are looking for antique old cut diamonds you can check out

Jewels by Erica Grace
Old World Diamonds

however if you are looking for something more modern any vendor can assist you. Most people aren't looking for lower colors so they put higher colored diamonds on their websites which sell faster.

Thank you very much for your reply. I don't mean to repeat myself in threads :/ Your input is very helpful!

You probably need to talk to your favorite vendor and let them help you find it. They are out there.

Just curious, how big are you talking?

The wonder of nice, well cut M,N,O colored diamonds is how INEXPENSIVE they are compared to an F color.

I know of a 6.03ct N-VVS1 that is only $86,000 total and 6.02 F-VVS2 that is $91,906 PER CARAT for a total of $553,632. So there is tremendous value in the lower colored stones as they are "underdesired" and thus much more affordable for a larger stone.

Wink

I was initially thinking 2ct.
Wink, That is incredible! How can I find a vendor/other resources where I could actually see what these look like in real life, or at least pictures/videos/etc?

Thanks a lot for taking the time to reply!

Wink usually videos the Crafted By Infinity diamonds that he has in stock. You can look at his web site for diamond for sale.

Good Old Gold has a series of videos on Vimeo comparing colors. And they upload videos for customers, too, so there are probably lots of August Vintage warm-color diamonds pictured there. But videos of modern ideal-cut H&A RB will be scarce, because the people who like the warmer colors also seem to go for old-style chunky facets and an antique look.

Back in 2006, GOG stocked this O/P IF modern H&A RB. It sat unsold forever. They finally had it recut to a smaller August Vintage round, and it was graded M or something a couple of grades higher after the recut. Just arrived today, my GIA cert MRB 2 carat M color VVS2. Scored 1.3 on HCA.

This was my N AVR 1.64 carats which I have since sold and replaced with a much smaller sapphire set. Diamond was incredible but I realized I am a colored stone girl at heart. No one knew it was an N, faced up really white and outshined every stone I came in contact with, which was another reason I unloaded it. No regrets but certainly glad I had a chance to own this beauty, maybe a smaller one in the future (many years down the road).

Now that she's set, here's my GIA cert 2 carat VVS2 M.

I'm happy to report that I'm very pleased with my yellow tooth N SI 1 diamond! Thanks Taylorbug for posting a link to mine. I have a couple of diamonds that are "higher" in color but much smaller in ct. I knew that I wanted huge finger coverage so I sacrificed color for my 3ct. And boy do I love my N, such a creamy color from top, ginger ale from the side. I did my research before purchasing and here's a great video from Wink. There's another video with a 2 ct N AVC set in a gorgeous ring from Jonthan at GOG, I can't for the life of me find it though.

It's definitely a matter of what your sweet spot is.

This is my stone that I purchased from Wink. It is the center stone in my 3 stone. The sides are N as well from Wink. He is hilarious and so sweet.

I fell in love with this stone when I first saw it, and to this day it remains my favorite (and I have seen many over the past 12 years that I've worked for Wink!). The luscious warmth...*sigh!* Your three-stone is just gorgeous! It's kind of my "teacher's pet." We all have memorable favorite stones we've seen working in the industry. :wavey:

Finally I can join this club!! I've got today my 2.86 ct N color oec from LAD! I have never seen a lower colored diamond bevor, so I was really anxious about the color, but Erica hasn't disappointed me!! The stone is white in the most lightning conditions and vanilla in others!

I hope, this pictures are going to help someone, who is trying to decide, if an N color is right for her of not.
So, this is my oec in a stone holder:

I followed Your journey and I have gone same path twice with Erica (I live in Finland and custom is very difficult to handle here too). It is very frustrating to try to believe Your own eyes when You are able see photos only. Erica was helpful and she didn't disappointed me. How You feel now when You have the stone on Your hands? Is it keeper? To me it seems lovely.

Edit: I noticed it's keeper when visited RT. Congrats of your beauty.

It's a beauty Dkata!

Confection10 - thank you, yes, it's a keeper! Now I'm just on the hunt for a setting. Regarding customs I found a fortunate solution as I also work in transport business so thanks to my good connections I was able to choose the custom broker myself, and as I know him very well, he let me had a look before he has done the custom clearance. He told me before, if I don't like it, we just don't do the clearance and just send it back. So I had no risk, only fun! But without this possibility I don't think I would have ordered. So you are really brave, that you just ordered with all the risk! How much is VAT in Finland? We have 20%!

Bunny10 - thank you!

Glad You found a way to check the stone before paying taxes. I wasn't brave. I hadn't any other chance. Second time was much easier because I knew what I want (I'm sucker for chunky stone with high crown). VAT in Finland is 24% added with 4% custom fee. Insane.

WOW!

just bumping this thread to see if anyone has more M/N/O diamonds to share.. :kiss2:

I will soon have my hands on an O, I had an M that was beautiful but I wanted a little more color so I went to O, hopefully this one will be right for me. I really want personality in my OEC, and my M was white and so pretty..I kind of like it to be a little something else. If that even makes sense! I will post pics when I get it!

I don't have an M, N, or O, but do have a 2.31 Q-VVS2 CBI on the way.it will be my "fun" HER, my very first halo too.

Photo of my Q next to my HPD Trilogie ring Ser with three F color CBI diamonds.
I can definitely see a tint.

Q from the side, definitely yellow

Thank you for sharing!

ZestfullyBling, love your rings! I spy a pretty profile on the asscher ring!

GearGirly, wow, love that you have gone for more even more colour. I'm new to warm coloured stones (I currently wear a F!) and have just taken the plunge and ordered an N. I've never seen warmer stones where I'm located so really hoping I'll like it! Please do share when you've gotten your new O!

cflutist, thanks for sharing the comparison pic! This is sooo helpful! I know I've been reading that the colour shows up a lot more on the side than top down and honestly, the top down photo of your Q seems like just a slight tint to me!

Here is O/P antique cushion from Adam /OWD and set by Victor Canera. The color of the stone that I mostly see, in the day light, is this:

In the same light next to I color RB this cushion looks like this:

I have a 2.1 ct O VVS AVR that is not set yet. I generally like low color stones in white halos to accentuate the color, so that is likely what I'll do.

Top, yellow sapphire, middle O AVR, bottom, Y-Z cushion center stone.

Here's my M OEC. I love the slight color of it compared to my Round Brilliant J. It is more ivory vs white, softer and warmer (not that J is super white!). IMG_1251.JPGIMG_1263.jpgIMG_1287.jpgIMG_1284.JPG
