Show me your mechanical/automatic watches

They're my daily watches and thank you! there's something about those midcentury faces that really speaks to me. I stalked the Thinomatic on eBay and actually woke up at 2am to bid on the auction :lol-2:

I love it. You're a lady after my own heart. It's worth a 2AM money battle. I really like the Mido Commander watches. They they have a similar aesthetic (although your Hammy is cooler). I was going to pick one up (also I crush on Nomos) but I have one arm and too many watches now.

DF, you broke out the heavy artillery. They are so beautiful. Does it sound weird to say I would like to look at your watches for about 1/2 hour with a loupe. Because I would.
Thank you for posting them here.

I love your taste, Icy_Jade. Two of my favorite ladies watches. The Nomos is so beautifully simple. I love the lines. The JLC Reverso is icing on the cake. Both really great watches. Thanks for posting them.

Wonderful. I love the old vintage. It looked familiar. The Irony looks like my Hamilton Ardmore. The style still in production since 1937. This is a quartz.

Stracci2000, if you ever want to get it serviced, I know someone who is respected in the watch circles that can service the old watch to keep oils etc in good shape. I don't want to post him here...but hit me up on LT if you want his info. He was worked in the teeny vintage ladies watches for me.

I thought of you with this Russian Chiaka watch. It runs when it feels like it :)
Also a mid century Titus watch Nos and a Nos Bulova...1960ish. They belonged to a watchmaker estate way back. The Titus has my smallest movement.

Thank you for your kind offer!
If we decide to have it serviced, I'll let you know.
There are several watch shops here in town, and I don't know much about any of them, or if they're reputable.

o_O Ooh that is lovely! And also YES to Nomos! Gorgeous gorgeous watches.
I’m very partial to Junghans Max Bill as well but I am like you in that I have one arm and too many watches already!

Thank you! I love how the Nomos looks. So timeless/classic. And that bit of color/red is so genius. Can totally imagine wearing it 20 years later.

And also YES to Nomos!

Yay to another Nomos fan. Don’t meet many irl.

I wanted to share.
This is not a watch. It's a necklace made of watch parts!
I found this necklace yesterday at an estate sale for $4.00

I did not know what it was, but it looked old.
I showed it on an antique forum, and someone identified it right away.
The pieces are Georgian era fusee pocket watch cocks.
I am still amazed and thrilled with this find!

Here is what these parts look like in the watch.

Can I post an antique pendant watch?
This one is sterling guilloche enamel with marcasite.
