Show me your: moi et toi / cuff rings

This is the ring design I have in mind for my mis-match pears, with paved diamonds surrounding the stones and in the band, for the stones to be bezel set in white gold:

@mjea -

I started this thread a few years ago. There's some great rings in it. :))

And just to add one of my own - this is my Victorian rose gold ring, with a matched pair of 7mm pale pink akoyas from Takahashi. It's divine.

I’ve loved this one since you first shared it!! This and @yssie’s pearl eternity with CVD haunt my dreams sometimes
Man I’m so bummed I didn’t find your thread when I searched! I would have added there o_O

This one amuses me. I put this ring together back in 2008 or 2009 out of an empty platinum 1950s fishtail bypass setting, back when empty old settings were still cheap and abundant on eBay, and a pair of natural gray spinels, back when nobody wanted gray spinels. I think I paid around $30 apiece for them. In those days it was an odd, unfashionable ring; I tend to gravitate to the odd and unfashionable, so I was happy with that. But now that moi et toi rings are hot, it gets a lot of attention and compliments. Two separate jewelers at different high-end shops in NYC recently asked me if the stones were blue diamonds! The spinels very lively and fiery, but no, not quite.

Here is my favorite moi et toi ring. It's late Victorian or Edwardian, with a pair of demantoid garnets set in platinum and gold, with little rose-cut diamonds. One of the demantoids has a classic horsetail inclusion.

Much more simple than most, but here’s mine!

I wish someone would post this style along with a wedding band....I am trying to decide what to stack this type of ring with. Tricolor rolling/trinity rings? Two polished full-round bands? Two bead/dot bands? One dot band, one prong-set diamond eternity, and one plain polished band? Ugh.

@Starstruck8 , dug up this old thread and hope you would add your new creation here for future reference.

@Neptune, thank you for finding this. It's good to keep these single-topic collection threads as a reference for comparisons and design concepts.

This is my new, and first, Toi et Moi ring. I'm delighted with it.

I told the story see the Men's Bling thread:
Both stones are sapphires from central Queensland. I had the kite for years, but could not think of a way to set it. Then I bought the trilliant, which is an unusual orange-brown colour, and saw that they would go together. The concept is a very schematic version of two snakes. 18K yellow gold.
And in the Snake Jewellery thread:
I toyed with the idea of more realistic snakes, but thought it was too hard to find a sculptor/designer who could make it look right. So I chickened out and went for stylized.

Thank you for showing the profile. I like open bezel like that. Fancy cuts with sharp angle have some much design potential imo.

Lol!!! I wasn’t sure if mine qualified!! But I’m happy to share! I just got it today, I t’s Yeprem and they have a lot of cuff style. I’m amazed at how comfortable it is!

Omg that is gorgeous! Is it secure / does it stay in place? It’s breaking my brain haha but I LOVE it!

And my all time favorite moi et toi. It’s only 6 carats, each, cushion cut. The Danish queen never needed to upgrade!IMG_1712.jpeg

What an amazing collection! Looking at the zircons, I can't help thinking of a tarzier:

Look at those huge eyes!

You are spot on. Jocelyn of Gilded Lane, the seller, called it Ollie the Owl!

How dare I forgot that spinel oec! Yummy.

This antique Tiffany ring isn't mine (I wish!), but it has lived rent free in my head since I first saw it for sale at Lang's years ago:

Yours is yummier! But thanks

I might have told you before, but your ring makes me ponder about pairing lush red with cooler metals, much more eye-catching imo.
