Show me your pear rings

I'm considering buying a small pear shaped stone and want some ideas for settings. Show me what you guys have.

Here's my pear ring. Note its sad emptyness I LOVE this mounting but am still searching for a stone but soon I just may have to give up. That said - I do love pears!

There was a whole thread started on exactly the same subject a while ago - let me see if I can dig it up for you! I LOVE pears and have more of them than anything else I think!!! It sort of snuck up on me. One minute I had just one pear, the next I had tons and hadn't realised it!!!

LD - that's exactly what's happening with me! In my pear search, I have collected a fair number of pears that I still love - just for whatever reason they don't work in my mounting. I have developed quite an affection for pears!

Yeah but what a brilliant excuse (if you need one) for carrying on buying pears! Is the problem that your setting is for quite a long/thin pear? I love that shape - it's my fav!!!

I don't have access to my pics at the moment but have posted pear designs with 2 baguettes, 2 shields, 2 pears, a curvy bypass like design, and various halos. I've started to appreciate the shape of pears lately but am cautious about those that darken too much at the tip. I'll see if I can find more pics tonight unless another PSer comes to my rescue first.

Thank you! I'd found pear shape threads for diamonds, but not CS. My searing abilities on my iPad are clearly less the stellar.

The stone I want to get is about w half carat. I have a feeling that'll be too small for me

Always the with it person that I am, I was about to remark on how similar the settings were. I was going to comment on the split shank, and more interestingly, the fact that they were both pear-shaped! I probably should've been a detective, huh?!! Hello? anybody home? anybody? anybody? Bueller?

Although this is pretty small and looks good

Don't forget pears can look bigger than their carat weight, especially if they're long and thin. The setting on that one (with the double halo) makes it look a lot larger than it is. It's a good choice for a small stone (and it's incredibly pretty).
