A while ago I made one for myself from sterling.
Here is the original thread, and a newer photo.
I reworked it recently and smoothed out a few areas.
My version of a snake ring
So I've been looking at Victorian snake rings online. Gosh, they are just so overpriced. So I decided as an experiment, to create one of my own from sterling. I had this little diamond just lying around, so I set him into the snake's head.www.pricescope.com
What talent! Very cool!
Omg, the snake is adorable!!
That face! That open mouth!
And the diamond looks like a little fez on his head! Love!!!

Oh
He's my new favourite
Ooh! I remember this from last year's post! You got this ring?
I had it on my "favorites" list for over a year. It sold out, so someone bought it, but then it popped up again so they must have returned it. It took that as a sign
That's amazing. Congrats!
Such cute little faces.
I didn’t see it on a previous thread though. Which thread was that?
Um, you posted this ring in the very first post of this thread?
The fact that it was marked sold out in the screencap made it a bit confusing, but since miracles happen, I just assumed that it (or should it be they since there are two snakes? hehe) found its way to you somehow! Hope you're enjoying wearing your new ring. Are the new snakes settling into the family well?
This detail of a Victorian painting (Georges Merle's "The Sorceress", 1883) showed up on my Instagram feed and I thought of this thread. I want her collection!
Ah ok. You said “last year’s thread” so I thought you were referring to one that was older.
Do you know how old it is ?
Two snakes is fascinating
