Show me your Van Cleef and Arpels jewelry!

Agreed! That's how I feel too. Quality over quantity. I don't need a lot of different jewelry pieces, but the ones I buy, I want to be top notch examples of what they are.
FYI, I found the authentication info on their website; it's $1800. I read on TPF that it can take up to a year.

I've been enjoying my new VCA Perlée Pearls of Gold bangle! I bought it from TheRealReal and will be having my SA run the serial number for me too make sure it aligns with what's in their system.

This is a piece that was retired a few years ago. I originally tried it on in 2020, but didn't end up buying it, and have been kicking myself ever since. So, I knew I loved it and I knew the small size fit beautifully. But I never thought I'd get the opportunity again to buy it.

It's very simple, understated, and classic -- everything I love. It also goes so beautifully with my other VCA pieces without being matchy-matchy.

Even though visually it would stack soooo well with my Alhambra bracelets, I can't bring myself to actually wear them stacked yet! I love my pieces and hate the idea of them scratching each other!

I do stack my Alhambra pieces with each other, but the new bangle is in mint condition, so I just can't stack it yet. :lol-2:

It came with its original paperwork so I can see it was purchased from a boutique in Macau which I find kinda cool. Would love to visit there someday.

congrats! SO funny small world; I actually purchased it from TRR & returned it so I'm glad it made its way to an owner who loves it! It looks great on you!

I purchased this bracelet also and returned it because of the Macau COA. I would send it in to VCA for some paid service, like changing the clasp. You will still end up ahead compared to the old retail price. The huge batches of superfakes were often paired with Macau COAs and receipts, so it was enough to make me doubt it. I am not saying it is a superfake at all, but I would get VCA official servicing to double check (not that this is 100%, but it would make me feel 99.99% better in your position). Congrats!

Isn't it interesting how some posters only use PriceScope to peddle their items for sale on LoupeTroop, and not actually add anything meaningful to the community?

Are you responding to me? If so, no offense taken, and I honestly think it is a stunning bracelet, or I would not have purchased it myself. Like you, I also asked my SA about the process to SO this bracelet last year. You may not be aware of the huge fiasco that happened about a year ago, where someone was selling basically 1:1 superfake VCA pieces totaling over a million dollars. There was one main seller and they were also sold by a person on IG. Later, these pieces trickled down to the secondary market through many avenues and resale platforms, and this will continue for years to come. They came with basically perfect COAs and with receipts, some even passed VCA servicing but were found to not be authentic with the $1800 VCA official authentication process (I think only a handful of people did this official service with these items). There were slight signs of not being authentic, but only when studied next to the same authentic piece with a loupe side by side. I personally have tried to help many people with these pieces and some were incredibly accurate. These items often came with Macao or Chinese COAs when they first started being sold in the USA, then later we saw more with London, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Las Vegas COAs. I do no think I ever saw a 5 row perlee bracelet in the huge volume of items sold, so it is probably ok, but if I were in your shoes I would have VCA do some servicing on the clasp or some charged service just to rest easy due to the Macau COA. I personally did not feel able to 100% authenticate this bracelet since I don't have the same one to compare it to side by side (which means it is a rare and special purchase). It is also quite possible that the seller started with authentic items from Macau and China to build trust and then started selling more common VCA catalogue items. Also, not saying that all items from Macau/China or any of the other locations are going to be superfake, I would just personally take a second look at any item I purchased on the resale market coming from one of those locations after what I have seen. I am completely only trying to be helpful and I am really happy for you.

Wow, I didn't know about this specific issue. It is troubling that superfakes can infiltrate the resale market on that kind of scale. I noticed in an earlier post that you said Ann's Fabulous Finds asks for receipts and that is good to know. I appreciate all the information.

This is really good info to have. Just would probably feel better knowing for sure your piece is authentic. Thanks for sharing. These super fake sellers suck!

I am glad to share any info that can help to protect our community! I remember one thing that made me pause about the 5 row perlee bracelet was that I was unable to find one of the hallmarks that are on my other perlees (of course it could be in a different place, but I looked at all of the hidden places with a loupe where I have found the hallmarks on my boutique purchases - one all of them, I could find them either on the tongue or on very well hidden on the lever part of the clasp).

I am not saying that most items on TRR are not authentic, but that I would personally always double check them. I would really double check most sources these days knowing how many superfakes are circulating (and COA and receipt are not enough proof these days).

I have seen some of them in person from friends who unknowingly purchased these superfakes, and they are terrifying. I do trust AFF most, as she always asks for receipts in my own name, and as a jeweler herself, it is comforting to know that she inspects high end jewelry items herself. I would also trust Fashionphile in the past, but with any place that is so high-volume, this can change over time (I think they are still strict and stringent, but I don't know what goes on behind the scenes now), DearLuxe is another trusted seller who always verifies items I have sold with her, wanting original receipts in my name or other proof and then checks items personally before sending them on to buyers. I know there are other very trusted sellers as well. I would always double check with any TRR item because I have personally purchased 2 fake Hermes bags from them (verified by Bababebi) and I have only ever purchased 4 bags from their site (so 50% were fake!). I do think that is an outlier, but I am glad that I double checked and now I always double check everything I buy from them. Even nonbranded jewelry - I have sent in diamond items for verification that were marked as earth-mined and they were lab, or a colored diamond item that came back as color enhanced when it was not marked as such.

valuable info, NeciaKH.

Thank you for sharing this information. I want to be able to enjoy my pieces without worry. The full VCA authentication is a great option for more precious pieces. The one I want is not. It's even still listed on their webpage so I keep checking in the hopes I catch a listing for one they found in a storage closet (a girl can dream). If I decide to go preloved I will take all of this under advisement. Thank you!

Photo of my dream pendant just to keep the thread visual and to put it out into the universe. I think it would complement my little alhambra earring and bracelet collection perfectly!
