I totally appreciate your sweet comment but I am gonna ask to delete this post. Too many people on rocky talk seeing the ring and pointing out the flaws— that I am obviously comfortable enough to post—is a bit annoying. My rocky talk post was general but I can see why many would conflate these 2 posts. Anyhow. I don’t need any reassurance at this stage in my jewelry collection journey.

All so beautiful but that bezel on the solitaire is *p e r f e c t i o n*

Gorgeous collection, I have questions!!
Is the red stone a ruby and the setting antique? What finger do you tend to wear that ring on?
I absolutely LOVE your marquise ring and the black rhodium makes the design pop. What is the CT weight of the center stone?

I forgot about my OEC earth-mined diamond ring, it is Gypsy set, so it counts as a bezel, right?

Yes the red stone is a ruby. Here’s the thread on it. I’m lucky enough that it fits on both my right and left hand and on most fingers so lots of choice.

#JOTW - My first Ruby and it’s from the 1920’s!

Got to stop looking at instagram. This popped up and it was love at first sight. 1920s, 18ct gold and platinum with (no treatment) Ruby and old cut diamonds. I put the no treatment bit in brackets because I have just received it and not had an independent appraisal yet - this is the sellers...
