I really want one too now. Congrats on your anniversary CRYSTAL24K!!! What a nice gift to have. :)

Wow - I thought I had crafting in my blood, but it never occurred to me to try to make my own! I'm impressed - and looking forward to seeing the final product!

Totally in love with the boxes but I don't like the price tag. So I gathered scrap materials at home and tried to make one myself. It is a trial run so the finishing is not perfect and it is bigger than it should be (4cm x 4cm now). Spent less than an hour on the bottom part and too sleepy to work on the cover. I will get better color velvet and make a better one this weekend. My dad has a foil press machine, I can ask him to do the monogram initials too. I guess the cost of making it would be like 2-3 dollars.

Let us know when you are taking orders! :naughty:

Why don't I show you all how to make your own box later. It would be the real heirloom.

These are adorable, I had to google to read about them having not seen them before.

Sized down the box and finished the cover as well. I think it looks okay. It would be great if someone can tell me the exact size of the box.

I have a whole bunch of this velvet! it's not quite navy, it's sort of between royal blue and navy blue. If you can tell us how to make them I will give it a shot!

I do believe they say on their website.

Yes please tell us how to make these. I have a huge velvet emerald color dress I'd be happy to ruin for a few boxes haha

This my MrsBox--my wedding ring and a recently completed project, a 7.49 ct spessartite garnet cut by Andrew Gulij, concave cushion.

The dish is labradorite, picked it up at Tucson this year.

Please do, when you have a chance - maybe start a new thread?

I don't think I have any velvets in my fabric stash, but I do have some lovely silks... I'm ready to start experimenting!

Super cute! They have the measurements on their website on the description for each box.

Yeah, I know they said 3.5 x 3.5 cm on the web. I assume that's the weight and length. For the many pictures I looked, it seems the height should be more than 3.5 cm. And I notice that the lid and the bottom are in different depth. Well, I guess my box doesn't need to follow their exact measurements as long as it looks good and can hold my rings.

My brother was kind enough to check out those craft supplies wholesalers and got me some velvet (I am 6 months preg and can't walk for too long). He also got me a roll of gold color embroidery thread so I can sew my initial on the lid. I hope I can find time to work on a better version this weekend.

Wow props on making it yourself. Craft envy =)

Another vote for show us how to please

Got my first Mrs Box! Took a quick pic with my iPhone at work today.

I suggest going somewhat larger than their's. I feel like my rings are going to overpower them sometimes, and I'm not trying to put giant rings in them!

Oh my god you are so talented!!! There is no way I'll be able to make these myself. My husband asked me to sew on a button last week and I still haven't done it...
Please pleaseee start an Etsy business so we can buy 20 of these from you. I already know what colors I want!
Mrs Box is just wayyy too overpriced. I just can't bring myself to buy one even though I've been staring at them for weeks...

Your box looks great! I would like to know how to make one too! As for an alternative to be able to store the engagement ring and wedding band in the same box, do you think that the box can be made a little larger just to accommodate two staggering slits for the rings? Do the slits for the rings have to be from one side to the other? Does that make sense to you? Sometimes it is hard for me to explain things. I am just trying to figure out a solution to have both rings together, but not touching and still maintain a small sized box overall.
