Show your green today!

I only own one green, but it's my everyday "today" because I basically never take it off.
The reason it's so special to me is because it was designed by my husband and custom made for me for my 30th birthday. The pendant houses a small (about half a carat) emerald.

And the inspiration? Well, the inspiration is she:

Sadly she passed away last April, after generously bestowing upon us 10 years of happiness, love and heart-attack-inducing cuteness.

I'm so sorry, I feel your pain we lost our 2.5 year old maine coon last year to HCM. Love your kittie's eyes and your pendant.

I love the special meaning behind your pendant... and what a beautiful kitty. :saint: So sorry for your loss! I took my cat in as a stray, and had her from 8 years old to 28 years old. Those are some formative years in a girl's life. I still miss her everyday.

Ok ok
excuse my earlier post
I should have done a spoiler on it
I wanted to shear the sentiment of my ring rather than its inadequacies :lol-2:

Now im going loud and proud Paddy's day green
i do love this one
its just silver but its perfect for a peridot
I only decently got this sized 20220318_205755.jpg

I want one just like yours, a huge stone and a perfect setting. You picked my favorite gemstone. This looks like it will either sparkle or glow depending on the lighting. This ring is killer.

Hi I'm new here, and I love what I'm seeing, any chance I may get some feedback on my loves these are all unheated set in platinum, that is what makes them similar although they are all different and unique in their own style and origin, also there's only one ruby in the mix the rest are, yes you guessed correctly, Sapphires!!! Feedback would be, Holy Balls! You don't do anything halfway, do you?

Spectacular!

This is my favourite because i can remember being with mum when she brought it in the very early 80's
back when jewlers on the main street or in shopping centres sold made in NZ
I was releaved my sister didn't want it (it wouldn't have been worth enough $$$ for her)
Anyway when i took the rings of mum's i had inherited in to be valued, sized and checked over, the jewlwr recognised this ring as being made by some one he trained with
he got quite excitted

Those earrings!!! Love!!!

I know right? They're a masterpiece. :kiss2:
They say it isn't easy being green but I disagree.
With earrings like these it's a dream being green.

SWOON!

You're both very kind, thank you. And, Autumn, I so know what you mean. I was basically raised by one such cat - a most gentle and kind soul whom I will always remember with love.

This is my favourite
No wonder - it's so pretty! And I'm a sucker for florals. Any chance there might be more pictures of it, pretty please?

I'd love to see more photos of this ring too! Would totally steal it off your finger hehe. The proportions are gorgeous with the wide gold shank.

I was thinking to myself that I had no greens, but then I remembered this nephrite jade letter pendant and two little matching charms that I wear as a set.

And this ring is not mine but I'd love to find something like this in my size. Oh that demantoid absinthe green! =)

ETA: By the way it's still the Patrick's Day weekend here in Ireland (we're getting a long 4-day weekend this year), so I'd say the party isn't over yet. :wink2:

Love the S :kiss2: (and matching earrings too)

I really love yellow gold
although not being an Aussie it pairs perfectly with green :lol-2:
The 80s were so much fun
I do remember this ring being bigger when i was younger but it certainly doesn't skip on the gold

The design of this ring is beautiful! :kiss2: Your mother had very good taste.

I once had a magnificent green tsavorite diamond, oval in shape about 2.5 cts if memory serves. I had Oscar Heyman mount it with six oval white diamonds surrounding it and bright Canary Yellow diamonds in the space between each of the ends of the ovals. (Yes, I know Canary is no longer the accepted terminology for a fancy intense vivid yellow, but they were truly the color of a bright yellow canary, so shoot me already...)

The ring shank was 18kt yellow and the hand made gallery work and heads were all in platinum. I believe that if the tsavorite garnets had been found before emeralds that emeralds would be the second king of greens with the bright sharp green tsavorites being the ruler of the green kingdom.

OMG do you have photos? Where it it go?

I sold it to a wonderful friend and client back in the 1980's.

Fun story. My wife went for her annual mammogram and they found a small lump. She called me in a panic and I said I would come pick her up and take her to the doctor. (Her mother died of lung cancer after having breast cancer ten or fifteen years earlier.)

I called my friend's office and his receptionist said she could get me in six weeks later. I told her I would be there sometime that afternoon and hung up.

When I showed up she told me there was no way I could see the doctor as he was booked. I told her I would wait until midnight if necessary and we just sat in the waiting from for maybe twenty minutes before he came out and ushered us into his office.

It turns out Resa had a cold and it had been a swollen lymph node which was no longer in evidence by the time we saw the doctor. My stubbornness saved Resa and I six weeks of torment and panic. My friend was frequently rewarded with great deals whenever he needed anything...
