I do think of the environment in reference to these things. I just hate wasted paper products. I do not use paper plates either.
A few days ago I spilled the cat's water dish on the kitchen floor. DH reached for the paper towels, and I may have been too harsh when I said "No, no, no! Don't waste paper towels! Just get that rag under the sink!" He probably thinks I am bossy and horrible.
I’m like that with running water…I brush my teeth with the water off..only turning it on to rinse the toothbrush a few times. When I have to wash pots in the sink I turn it on for as long as it takes to get it wet. Then I turn it off and scrub it....I turn it on again when I’m ready to rinse it. When my husband does the dishes he leaves the water running to dry the item he just washed. I have to keep getting up and turning the water off. I don’t want to sound like a nag which I am. It’s a balance between showing appreciation thst he’s doing the dishes and getting upset he’s letting the water run..
