shy hello from a little lady who loves sparkly things!!

Hi everyone!
I've lurked a little bit, oohed and aahed over many of the beautiful rings and rocks here, and poked around but never posted. Well I decided to finally make an account and jump in! DBF and I have been together about 2 years unofficially (1 year and some change officially) and even though he is my first serious BF, he is great to me and I'm so happy to have him in my life. We are 23/25 and have a little over a year left in professional school before we start our careers (which hopefully we are still able to find jobs in) and I am so ready to be done with school and start working & making the money!!!

I've unfortunately always been struck with the magpie gene and have loved gemstones even as a little girl, but now that many of my friends are getting engaged/married (something that I know I am not quite ready for for another couple of years at least and I am totally okay with that), I can't stop thinking about engagement rings!!!! TBH though, I think DBF would freak just a little if he found out. Or maybe not, I don't know haha. Unfortunately it's not something he wants to talk a lot about because neither of us really know where we will end up after graduation either (I am from the city we go to school in, from the suburbs; he is from a small town about 1.5 hours south of here, out in the country). As of now, I'm in love with Tacori rings and cushion cuts (AVC anyone??), so that's my plan for a couple years! When the time comes, I'm sure I will have to not only point him in the right direction, but flat out tell him and do the research myself, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there

Anyways, I look forward to meeting and getting to know you all!!
