Hi,
I have been looking at quite a few diamonds over the past week all in the same price range around 11k and it's amazing how different the grading can be. I did notice that most of the SI1 diamonds have inclusions on the outside of the diamond whereas the VS diamonds have the inclusions on the table. Is there anything else I should be look at in these diamonds if all the other C's are the same?

Also i noticed the measurements in the same carat diamond are different. Is there a tool I can use to enter the measurements for different diamonds to see truly how different the two diamonds will look to the naked eye.

Thanks!

what kind of diamond shape are you looking for? round? cushion? pears?

You definitely cannot generalize about inclusions like that. I always prefer VS2 over SI1 as the inclusions should be more likely to be eyeclean regardless of where they are placed. But VS2 and SI1 inclusions can be placed anywhere. VS2 is just harder to see with the eye in most cases.

You absolutely do need to look at depth and diameter. Stick with stones with depths of 60.0-62.3 (I really prefer 60-62.0). Stones that are too deep often face up small for their weight. Not sure what size diamonds you are looking at, but well cut 1 ct stones are 6.4-6.5mm, 1.3 ct stones are about 7mm, and 1.5 ct stones should be about 7.4mm.
