Sigh... the seamstress chopped my dress without asking me...

I guess I still dont understand (maybe I''m a little thick) but during your first fitting you said that they
pinned the bottom. Did they pin it the length you wanted (6 inches too long - in their opinion) or did
they pin it to basically where they cut it and hemmed it?

Nope, they didn''t pin the hem, only 3 things they pinned during the first fitting were 1-neckline, 2-lifting of the crinoline, and 3-the bustle, they just shortened the hem without informing me. That bothered me and my Fi.

Like I said, maybe I didn''t make it clear in my posts, I''m totally agreed I couldn''t walk with the hanging 6 inches at the front of the hem, but they shouldn''t just cut the hem without telling me or showing me.

O well, it''s a heavy dress now in order to create the look-alike shape I saw from my first fitting, so I have to make sure I eat enough so I don''t drop from wearing a heavy dress on my wedding day!

Dear, words cannot describe how much I wanted to kick their butts and walk away from the shop....

For sure I will discuss about the alteration fee, at least, I''m not gonna pay the full amount of the alteration fee. Because let me tell you... the dress is very heavy now with all the crinoline. I''m totally not satisfied to be honest with you ladies, but our wedding is next week, 7/11, and we have other things to worry about other than this wedding gown drama. I still want to be a happy bride to marry my dear groom! Yes, I''m upset and disappointed but it''s not the end of the world, we have just begun! It had been an awful weekend for my groom, and I''m sure it was more than enough for him.

And, we will for sure to take our time and report that to the headquarter after our wedding with the before and after photos.

Thanks for all of your concerns and caring!

I think you have a great attitude about such an unfortunate thing happening. I just want to commend you for not letting it take over your thought stream or ruining your wedding!

You''ll be a beautiful bride, regardless of what has happened! Sorry to hear about it all- I would be frustrated too!
